inadequate power supply can cause problems.. a poor quality yet High watt PSU can cause same problem... A High overclock can stress the cpu / mB .. cause problem.. If your going to play with overclocking, then expect certain things to fail prematurely .. In this case, It seems a MB...

i don't know... seems odd.. if the tconveyor is moving as fast as the plane is going... the plane will stay stationary ... am I correct on this..? .. so the plane is firing it's engines faster and faster ... but the converyor is moving faster and faster ... the plane is sitting there because of...

Friend hasn't reformatted in almost 5 years

I agree.... a quick fix to a problem .... you can "defrag" your pc and clean it up using several software programs (which are usually free) ... unless you install a new MB or something that would cause a problem that you would need a "fresh" system... you shouldn't need to re format.... :)

yeah, it worked out good this time.. i rechecked it severel times on the 9700 Pro... at the first sign of artifacts.. i pulled it off, it was spread evenly (AS5) , i really don't know what happend to the 9700Pro.. so far this card has had no problems with the cooler...

yeah, i guess your right... i looked at it for awhile, spinning the fan and checking the wires... and i guess, running counterclockwise, it put out more air out the back... i put a kleenex under the fan and it sucked it up... even though it feels like it is blowing out... (odd)... i have it on...

well, i had one on a 9700 Pro i had at one time (not the one that died) and it blew out the back pretty good... you could feel it + the heat... that is the one i have, but if it ran counter clockwise, it just doesn't look like it would push much air as the blades are cupped like it's supposed...

i tried switching the wires to.. black to red and red to black on the connector to the vid card.. then the fan doesn't even work...

it was plugged in correctly.. i just retried for a few seconds on my 9800 Pro.. unplugged it's stock fan, plugged in the vga cooler... and the fan spun counterclockwise... sucking air in from the HS and blowing out where the fan is.... oddd....

Ok , here is the deal, bought it brand new... put it on my 9700Pro.. hour later.. poof, no 3d...only 2d... artifacts... i said... what the heck is going on... noticed no air comming out the back of the cooler... hmmmm .. the dang fan is spinning backwards ?? so that is what i am thinking...

Ok, just installed a "used" Asus 9600XT 128MB vid card (agp) into a gigabyte 7NF-RZ motherboard...running a athlon xp 2500 at 2.2 ghz (vid card set at 66mhz) , also running 1.5 gig of ddr400 i am having all kinds of problems... i think it's a compatability problem with the nforce2 chipset...

wow, i thought being 5'9 and 130 was bad... i hear you guys... yeah, seems so many people upset about being overweight... but there are alot that are skinny that get the same remarks from people...you try and do all you can to gain weight, but nothing ever happens.. heck , who cares now... at 34...

Overclocking a 6600GT

XFX 6600gt 128MB (AGP) -- I was able to get it to 600 core / 1.12 mem stock cooling, 520 watt psu ran 3d2k03 and 3d2k05 and aquamark 3 in a row with 0 artifacts.... guess it does varies... also, playing Doom 3...plays good, but Doom 3 relies ALOT on mem, I had only 512 mb of Mushkin and it...
