how to clean...CRT moniter with anti glare coating?

i dont think i would use a paper towel as that might scratch it but a window cloth and water is what i use, and it works fine for me.

The big boys vs. the underdogs

you should really consider building your own system, its one thing on low end systems, but with special purpose computers it is almost always best to build your own. not only do you get a well rounded system, and it is also most likely cheaper then buying a similar system.

I have a hauppauge PVR 350, can i use my tv as a monitor

i found out soon after i tried using linux on my xbox, that unless you have a high def tv you are wasting you time. just think of running at 640 x 480, but on a much bigger screen.

Xbox System Linking

system link cord is just a crossover cable. they take about 2 minutes to make if you have a crimper. the only difference between a patch cable and a crossover cable is the transfer pairs are switched.

Is this RAM any good?

i put 2 256meg sticks of that ocz value ram in my 2.8 c and overall if is rather decent ram, but right now you would be best going to zzf and getting a gig of corsair value select for 100ish.i have never used kingmax so i cannot comment on it.

Run 2 Power Supplies or What?

if you want to use 2 atx powersupplies you have to rig the second one so that the mobo supplies power to turn it on along with your main psu, or you could get a at powersupply. if it was me i would go and buy a decent psu that could handle all my components and save myself the trouble.

Memory? Upgrade or not?

any ddr memory rated above pc3200 is just pc3200 rated to run at higher frequencies and will be no benefit unless you are overclocking without a divider on your memory. it would really help to post your system specs.

Mixing RAM? KHX3200 and Valueram?

on my system i tried to mix a stick of corsair value ram and a ocz enhanced latency. both are 512mb pc3200 but i couldnt get them to work together. im assuming it has to do with the different spd timings and i believe that the value ram operates on 2.5 volts. but at any case i just broke down...

I think I fried my comp :(

learned that lesson not too long ago by accidentally setting an ide cable on the heatsinks of an xbox psu (the heatsinks are live for some reason) after formating a 200gig. fortunately it was my xbox and not my computer, and i was able to buy a $50 broken xbox of ebay that took 10mins to fix.
