Hop onto one of your other wireless or wired devices that has no problem using the local internet (preferably a machine running Windows) and open a Command console. Type "ipconfig" and hit enter. For the first adapter that comes up, look at what it says for "Default Gateway". You want to look...
The room my tower is in (my office) I never really go into anymore, so I blocked off the heater register and keep the door closed. It's about 15 degrees colder in there. Nice thing about winters in Michigan, free cold air. In the summer I just keep the fans at full speed, but it's okay...
That's always a good idea. With a poorly mounted heatsink the processor doesn't have to be under heavy load to show high temps, checking it in the BIOS before cooking it will save some headaches. This doesn't guarantee that you won't have overheating issues when you're actually putting a load...
That was fun. I used to work in Kentwood/Wyoming. I was waiting to see how long it took before I realized where you were. At first I thought you were on Beltline but then I saw the hallmarks of 28th st. Was that van really trying to pass the semi on the on-ramp?
Screw you, Kent County, with your morning list of school closings on the WoodTV ticker taking 10 minutes to scroll through all your damn schools to my county and OH LOOK MY SCHOOL ISN'T CLOSED. I still haven't gotten over that.
That's okay, because apparently there's an invisible weather impermeable bubble from Grand Rapids to Grand Ledge, and I'm right in the middle. EVERY TIME. Splits up and goes right around. Damn troll storms.
If you've got a project going that you can make use of them, I wouldn't mind paying the postage to get them to you. I don't have anymore connectors though, and I haven't found any suppliers that carry the type I used to use, but these should work just fine. As long as you can post the tools...
Who told you you needed a compression tool? The cable in the picture already has connectors (cheap looking connectors, but they should do the job). If you plan on making multiple custom length cables from that, then I'd suggest compression connectors and a compression tool. You'll also need a...
I was going to walk out and try to find it, but there was fresh manure spread out in the field and there was no getting around it, and I didn't want to walk through it. So, suffice to say, I'll never see it again.
Well, I figured there ought to be at least one entry. And even a bonus video too! Enjoy.

Sloppy measuring methods, but oh well.
And now for a bonus video!

Nonsense. You can shoot outside and if people look at you funny, just yell loudly, "I'M DOING SCIENCE!".
Set up your electrolysis contraption outside too. If the cops come by, just repeat that.
:awe:
I got my certificate in the mail today, woot! I'll be sure not to reveal your address (is that thing still going on?).
Psssh. You can do it. Gotta want it!
Alright, seeing as how you've already designed it with a paper barrel, I'll forget that rule in the interest of non-disgruntled participation. So, go to town.
This applies for everyone else building a launcher as well, paper for the barrel is okay.
I didn't want to have paper used for the launcher for two reasons.
1). Paper is highly flammable, raising safety issues. *
2). A paper barrel could be very long, in turn requiring a larger chamber, and if you've used paper for the barrel you have plenty of pop can to make that larger chamber...
Theoretically you could just ball up three pieces of paper and rest the launcher on them. You really don't need to get crazy fancy with the support. It's basically just something to angle your launcher so you don't have to hold it.
