Looking at the specs it says the card is PCI Express x1. I'm pretty sure all the Theater 550 Pro PCI Express cards are PCI Express x1, no matter who makes them.
Pcalchemy.com has some OEM ATI Theater 550 Pro TV Tuner PCI Express cards for $49.95, heck of a price for any MCE compatible TV Tuner, let alone a PCI Express one.

No Amity cards have a CX23415 chip, all Amity cards have the same encoder as the Roslyn card (the CX23416). You are probably confusing the Amity cards with the older Freestyle cards which have RCA Audio inputs but no FM. As you stated about the only place to find the Freestyle cards is on...
The L/R Audio jacks are for input, you use them in conjunction with either the S-video or composite video input if you are feeding a video signal in from a cable or satellite box.
The 10 pin connector is a A/V header. If you could locate the proper connector you could build a breakout cable to...
psxjunky: When or where did I bash the 28552 card? I've never said anything good or bad about it only stated the facts about what it will and will not work with, much the same as you have. Where's the bashing? My only gripe is that z-buy.com substituted one card for another, one that I know...
There's a very good article at htpcnews.com describing all of the various PVR cards available, you'll find it at: http://www.htpcnews.com/main.php?id=pvr_card_id_guide
You might be happy about it, but most others thought they were getting a real WinTV-PVR-250 MCE card (32552). Despite what z-buy.com or Snapstream might be saying, the 28552 is not a WinTV-PVR-250 card, and will not work with SageTV 1.4 nor MythTV, it will work with SageTV 2.0 and vesions of...
The BTV Bundle appears to be using a 28552 (Rosyln) card.
BTW, Hauppauge sells the 28552 (Roslyn) cards in bulk for about about 10% less than the 32552 (Amity) cards.
Just noticed that z-buy.com has what they are calling a WinTV-PVR-250MCE available for $89.
This card is a 28552 (Roslyn) card and will NOT work with Linux.
If you had a card on backorder from them the cards that they were selling were 32552 (Amity) cards, be careful that you are getting...

Probably not quite as good, but that's just an educated guess. And it would also depend on the video card as all are not created equal. The other thing to keep in mind is that not all software supports the TV-out on the 350. For example, SageTV 1.4 does not but SageTV 2.0 does.
When I have...
The 250MCE is *not* the same as a 350, the 350 has TV-out and MPEG decoding built into the card.
If you use a 250 whether MCE or not you'll need something to output video to the TV, one method for this is to use an FX5200 with TV-out, these can be had for about $60.
The MCE card can be...

You are missing the point, z-buy.com isn't even stating that it is an OEM card. Plus, Hauppauge's warranty on the WinTV-PVR-250 MCE is 2 years.
I saw the warranty statement on z-buy.com's site, all I'm saying is that it is something to consider when purchasing the card, not that they don't...
I didn't say "no warranty", I asked if z-buy.com or cnetpc.com was providing warranty service. As far as Hauppauge honoring a 1 year warranty stated on a product listing for an "OEM" product, I'd suggest that you contact Hauppauge about that, which is what I did and was told that the company...
They are not very happy about it.
One thing you need to keep in mind when buying one of these cards is that since they are OEM cards who supports them? When Hauppauge finds out you purchased an OEM card they will not provide support, do you think z-buy.com or cnetpc.com is going to have the...
