If you do not have GoBack, (installed from System works) then this is not for you.
Its pretty easy. I just dont like it cause it doesnt really help you learn "real world" types of situations. Make sure you know the stupidest things about hardware and software :)
Definately invest in a new powersupply. make sure to get a good brand such as antec or something. A faulty PS can definately result in random reboots and shutdowns.
The windows defraggers are okay. Diskkepper Pro is very good, but it costs money. They have a free 30 day trial available. Here is a link to d/l the trial. If your interested im sure you can figure out the rest.

If you do a clean install, yes you will have to install the apps again as they effect your registry settings. What i do is keep my os installed on my C partition. Make a directory on my D partition for backup programs. Then after my clean install, i just run all the files from my secondary parition.
I have the Logitech Z-640's. I bought them for about $70 a few months ago. They are good. Some complain of hissing, but i dont notice any problems. Im not sure how low the Z-680s are as i cant check due to being pretty busy.
IF its your primary hard drive and you want to do a CLEAN install, then The easiest and best way to format ,IMO, with xp is to just insert your xp cd into the drive and set your bios to boot from cd. You can do many things from here. If you need any further instructions, let me know.
As other...
XP Automatically detected my USB 2.0 and installed the necessary drivers. I suggest reinstalling usb drivers, but if your comfortable with the speeds now, imo, i wouldnt mess with it, but hey its your call.
Also, it should say enhanced interface when 2.0 is installed.
