Some of you take way too long on overclocking. It takes me less than 2 minutes. I just hit the auto overclock, once I get it, I turn it down 10mhz. It has always been stable whenever I do this. Never once crash on any game that I played.
That's just an assumption because you don't really know how much they actually pay for them. For the people that already got in the deal like me, we're already set.
Your cousin probably bought a returned item that Best Buy resealed and try to pass it as new. They do that a lot. One time, I returned a video card that had a distinct mark on the box. A couple of days later, I saw the same box resealed and sold as new.

I wanted to wait until prices go down, but $280 for a 6800 GT that can do Ultra speed can't be passed up. The price right now is what the price will be in like 8 month. Might as well get it now and sell my 5900nu for a good price otherwise it'll go for like $100 or less in 8 months.

Yeah, I was also able to preorder the 6800 GT. Actually, they let me order 2 of them. That's so cool. I told them I wanted 10, but they told me they weren't sure how many will come, so I only ordered 2. Awesome deal! No tax were I live, so only $279.99 each.
Slow....it's not even being used to full capacity, not even at 4x. Why? Because I change my AGP to 4x from 8x on a FX5900 and observe no difference in speed whatsoever. I'm running an Athlon64 3400+ speed too.
I have notice zero benefits from 4x and 8x. I highly doubt pci express would even benefit the cards very much either if the AGP aren't even being utilize to the max.
I just installed the 9.1 Pro and it automatically detected my Realtek 8139 and just clicked OK on all the network setting. Didn't have to do hardly anything. I have to say that Suse has one of the easiest linux install that I've tried.
You can also reload the WinXP mbr by booting from cdrom with the WinXP cd inside. After that, just pick the rescue option and follow through until you get to the command prompt and type fixmbr. That should load back the WinXP mbr.
That's strange. I haven't encountered any slowdown with messenger. Are you using MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger? I've read that this combo can cause problems otherwise I don't know. It shouldn't take up too much resources unless you have like 32mb of system memory or something.

There is no competition in the 64-bit processor. Why would they want to lower there price significantly if no one is forcing them too? Sell less at a higher price will produce about the same profit as selling more at a lower price. They can do it because there is currently no 64-bit processor...

I don't know how high a A64 3000 can go, but my A64 2800 reached 2187 @ 1.6v. I can probably get higher, but I don't want to increase the volts too much.

I have the Lite-On 2002 and I have to say that this is a great player. It does have problem playing the old Divx3 stuff, but all my DivX5 and Xvid works great. It also plays PAL dvd's. I should check to see if there is a firmware upgrade so that it can play the old Divx3.
