I haven't found any reviews for this particular model, but as I understand it, Vivitar cameras are notorious for going through batteries.

Pepboys selling Rhino Ramps for $15.99 in Delaware

Well, proper usage of jacks and jackstands would require that you place them on a stable base when working on soft ground. Sounds like someone wasn't using their head. At any rate, I'm probably going to pick these up as an alternative to lugging my jack up and down 2 flights of stairs every...

Saving an NTFS drive?

Well, I tried reseating the cable, swapping cables, swapping the drive from slave to master and swapping IDE channels. Right now I'm letting GetDataBack scan the drive, so hopefully that will allow me to save some of my data. I'll try and find a copy of Disk Doctor to run if that doesn't...

Saving an NTFS drive?

Well, I've tried most of the basic stuff like checking to see if the cables are seated and whatnot. The drive was actually working fine for a while, but then I got an error saying that some of the folders on that drive were corrupt, and when I tried to access the drive to save some of my data...

Saving an NTFS drive?

Well, XP sees the drive, but tells me that it's not formatted. It's just a data drive, not my boot drive, so I'm not terribly screwed, but I have data that I'd like to get back. I really have no idea where to start with this. Anybody got any tips on how to recover my data?
