C2D motherboard with onboard video

I have the Asrock 775i65 board. It is mATX form factor with onboard video. However, it requires DDR (not DDR2) RAM. Also, it is not PCI-E, therefore upgradeability is pretty much non-existent.

Upgrade or Rebuild?

Another solution is to get the Asrock 775Dual-VSTA and a Core 2 Duo right now. You can keep your current AGP video card and DDR RAM and save a whole lot. Then, when the time is right, you can upgrade your RAM to DDR2 and then your video card to PCI-E. And then, you might want to upgrade...

Do Audigy SE soundcards run from hardware or software?

Havent really been up-to-date with the conroe awesomeness

I just jumped on board the C2D bandwagon, and I'd say even if you have DDR/AGP or DDR2/AGP, go with a budget C2D mobo and stick in a E6300. Of course, I'm biased, since that's what I did :D

I think I will wait. I really want to get a dual dvi card (yes, I'm running dual monitor) but like Some1ne said, when I next upgrade which I might be able to push closer to Jan 2006, I will get a new cpu, motherboard and pci-e video card. Hopefully something nice and juicy will be out by then...

I'm running AMD XP 2200+ on an Abit NF7-s right now. The mb is dual-channel compatible, but I don't think the cpu is. So my 2 sticks of 256mb RAM is NOT running in dual channel correct? In other words, I can get a stick of 512mb RAM without affecting performance?

Dell 1905FP

Help! My boss wants me to recommend a webcam and software.
