Mobo recommendations for HTPC/file server

I've got a shuttle currently as my main system. This build will be more file server than HTPC, so ATX is fine with me really. I'm still trying to weigh the pros and cons of all the boards I'm looking at so if anyone has more opinions, please feel free to share.

USPS tracking still shows my gift sitting in the post office near my recipient's house :( The status hasn't changed from "Arrival at Unit" since the 18th. I certainly hope they deliver it soon, I'd hate for my SS to not get my gift in time. Come on USPS!

You don't need to upgrade to 2.00 in order to play your UMDs. You can use programs such as RunUMD or DevHook to emulate newer firmware and play your UMDs that way. I recommend you use DevHook personally, as it's much more useful at this point. With it, you can emulate the newer firmware...

Problem installing SATA PCI card in new Shuttle SN45G

The only thing on the Promise card is the Raptor HDD. My seagate drive and LiteOn combo drive are on the mobo IDE channels, and running with no problems. I noticed newer versions of the drivers, but my problem is the card will not allow me to boot up completely under any circumstances. It...

Yes, its just like a typical drive bay cover. It is however a bit big for a HDD as was mentioned. I have one for my Lite-On 811s and it has served me very well. The fan IS a bit noisy, but nothing too bad.
