nice, you also might look into a thermaltake they also have very good if not the best HS and have the choice of puting any fan you want onto it. good hunting

well when i got the cpu and pluged it into my abit an7, i got a code that says "failed overclock". now i dont know if he tried to overclock it but this code says failed overclock. after reading a lil about the L12 mod, i was not sure if it could apply to a more than likely dead cpu

just got a dead cpu form a friend that did not OC his 2400 right. my question for every one is: would a L12 mod work on a dead cpu?

Stumped - Mobo Issues - Erratic POSTs

Sounds like you can get to doing things when you reboot, witch makes me think that the cpu is cooling down enough for you to do things then it gets hot and stops working, I do not know much about the mother board that you are using but it might have a fail safe that if your cpu gets to hot it...

wacky hard drive setup

make sure that the jumpers on the 2nd harddrive, the one you got form your friend are set the slave, ohh and you might have to set the jumper on your primary master to master with slave.

ahhhhhhh... my poor puter....=(

dont just try to pull out one pull out all and try with a good stick in, one that is in a computer that is working with no hang up, also like another persons said try to switch the order of them. do it the cheep way, no need to go and buy a new stick unless you know that this is the problem...

Had something of the same thing happen to me, after days and days and many reformats, changing of hardware it all came down to the memory. I pulled a good stick out of another computer and started with a new install of XP and no more hang ups or loop backs. Now if I would have tried this before...

Random reboots

Have you tried taking everything out and running a clean install with just mem, video, hd, cd, ect. Just essentials?

Memory Identification

Ok, i found SiSoft and downloaded it and found out all the info i need to know (pc2100) as far a finding the aida32.exe i gave up after looking at a web searches and them telling me that the web site has been shut down. thank you for all your help people :)

Is there a tool or a utility that might tell me what brand of memory may be running in my computer, along with speed, and timing? The reason I am asking is because I bought a box of computer parts form a yard sale, and in it was a stick of memory with a mem-sink. The sticker on it says pc2700...

How to remove Mem Heat Sink

I would just like to know if any one can tell me how to get the clip of a mem heat sink that is on my 512mb pc 2700. Or if it is not a good idea to this for I might damage the memory.

OC tool for FX5600 256mb

Is there any one out there that knows of a good Program so that I may push the card a little more? I do a lot of OC-ing with AMD but know little about doing it with a video card so it has to be e-z for a NUMB-NUT.

i had to find out my self that it is practically impossible. ass soon as you said that it might be made or is made by dell i went to there web sight and tried to find out some info with no luck. So i called them and all they wanted was a service tag and some type of other service or purchase...

The color of the board is green and the resistor caps or what ever they are, 6 purple and 4 green, the memory size are the small ones. I think they are called bfg's or some thing like that. all I now they are not the long rectangle ones.
