Yes I have been switching inputs manually. I looked everywhere in the menus and the manual so I also think it is a no, but I'd thought I'd ask the forum to see if anyone knew of a way to disable that.
I will probably give Asus a call (or email) sometime to see if it can be done.
Thanks
I posted this question on the [H]ard Forums and I received no answer so I am trying this here. I have been busy that is why I have not posted in awhile as you know life happens. Anyway back to your normal content.
I recently got a new Asus MG28UQ 4K gaming monitor to replace my faithful Benq...
OK I took more pictures of the inside of the unit. I am afraid to take the heat sink off the board though, I do not have any extra of those push pin spring clips (just in case I damage one of them)
I do not see any useful markings on any of the main boards (well the only pieces with useful...
I don't know how much you are into remotes and their programming but I do love them and I can recommend heading on over to the JP1 Remotes site there is a lot of stuff you can do with a JP1 compatible remote and the software
I found ($2 thrift-store find but worth more then that in parts) a DMX ProFusion Digital Media Manager (by Mood Media) and I was wondering if anybody has hacked one of these before?
When I say hack I am not talking about free service.
I want to re-purpose the hardware to a traditional...
Yes it is not just you both cars in that photo turn me on
The Mercury Sable and the Chrysler Minivan (Looks like the base Plymouth Voyager as I can barely make out the word Voyager)
Lol! :) People still use PhoneTray
I used to also before they started charging for it then I found CallClerk which in my opinion is better
I use a program called CallClerk
It is much better then PhoneTray but it costs $39
The router works fine and is a Cisco Linksys EA4500 (They had the same problem at their house with another router) I have not tried the RJ45 ethernet connection yet but I will.
The IP addresses and other setting are correct and everything that JackMDS said to try looks fine on my end.
The...
I am trying to troubleshoot an HP Pavilion dv7-6b55dx for a friend so I don't know what happened to it first hand.
I can't be 100% sure it is not a hardware problem though, however I did run a live Linux USB though and I was able to connect to websites so I guess the card is good??)
The laptop...
I have had two (2) Adata Flash drives die on me (I have RMAed both of them and I am now on my third (3) one) Luckily I only used them for making my Hackintosh and no "real" data was lost as I also had a backup of the source files
OK Thanks
that seems to be alittle out of my ability of stuff
It does look like a decent toy of sorts though
All I would want it to do is play back video from a USB Flash drive
Anyway I will hold on to it for awhile
chip is a Broadcom 7401
which looks to be a common chipset for IPTV boxes
Here is a picture of the chip
Here are the marking if for some reason the picture does not show
BCM7401ZKPB9G
UN0808 P31
858418 U3
I have a power supply that works with it that is the right voltage and amperage I was just wondering if there is anything that can be done with this box other then the intended purpose
I found in the trash a Yuxing YX-5921A(T401) IPTV STB I am sure there are other uses for it other then the original purpose
It looks hackable but how I don't know
It has a front USB port and an 100Mbit ethernet jack
The PCB has a different model number of YX-6911A and it looks to have some...
Thanks all!
It works and looks great
The badly translated diagram (Probably meant for a latching switch also) is what confused me but as I looked into it the wiring was simple
Again thanks for the reassurance that it was that simple
The switch on the left is the reset switch and the...
I purchased some LED switches that I am going to add to an older computer case with a broken power button and I am not sure of the wiring of them
The switches have 5 terminals
I assume 3 for the switch and 2 for the LED but the diagram that was posted by the seller confuses me
The terminals...
Lol! I spy tamper resistant receptacles. I despise those TR outlets but that is all that is available at the box big home centers now
I was greedy when Home Depot was getting rid of the non TR receptacles I bought the rest of the stock of the Leviton 5252's (They were $2 a piece not the normal...
Yes I got a refund for the "Bad" LCDs
Does anyone know the correct part to order?
All of the vendors say that they will ship a "compatible" part that is equal to the original but apparently that is not the case with the chromebook's LCD Panel
I am trying (Without success I must say  ) to fix a friends Acer Chromebook C710-2856 as the screen is cracked I have ordered from two different vendors (with three screens in total) and the only one that will let the computer power on is the cracked one
With the other screens the computer...
I also have Charter (One of the worst cable companies out there) I have also had the same IP address for awhile do you know how often Charter assigns new IP addresses?
OK It was the screen as I thought it was. I posted here to get a confirmation so I did not have to replace another part
I replaced the screen and it looks 100% better
Thanks all
The job was actually very easy the video cable being the hardest part as I am not good with small connectors.
I have a friend who wants me to fix their computer (HP G7-1340dx) It looks like the screen or motherboard is bad (The machine has onboard Intel HD video) I am thinking it is just the LCD panel as it looks fine hooked up to an external monitor but I just want to make sure before I just go...
I finally got my "Pinkintosh" (It is in a pink Apevia X-Dreamer so I named it "Pinkintosh") to work correctly
I found a DSDT for my motherboard on OSX86.net and I then installed the audio and network drivers
I made a *.DMG disk image right after I installed OSX (So if/when It failed...
My friend has a Samsung CLP-315W color laser printer and he just replaced all of the toner and the imaging unit/Drum/Fuser. but the printer is still having an image retention problem. What I mean is you print a document with more then one page and the second page still has an image of the first...
OK so Finally got around to installing Mountain Lion and I can boot into the OS with the USB drive I created and Ethernet works and so does the rest of the system (Except the audio) but as soon as install Multibeast (Version 5.5.5 or whatever the newest is) I am still getting a black screen...
OK so I can't get this video card to work in Mavericks no matter what I tried but it will work fine in Mountain Lion so I reverted back to ML as I did not need Mavericks anyway
So far I have tried the
-GraphicsEnabler=Yes and No
IGPEnabler=Yes and No (this board has no IGP so I don't even know if that even does anything in my situation)
and -V
I will try more latter when put the GTS 250 back into the computer
also how do I go about inserting more then one boot flag?
I know the GTS 250 was not that great of card even when new
The problem is I can't even boot into the OS, I can't even use my UniBeast USB flash drive install to try to reinstall the OS as it will do the same thing
I have tried booting with the -v and the screen moves to fast to see what is...
I have an older Core 2 Duo system and I got a "new" case and graphics card (Palit GTS 250). I can put the old ATI HD2400 back in and get into the OS but I was hoping to get the GTS 250 to work correctly as with the HD2400 I am stuck at 1024 x 768 and my monitor is 1440 x 600
I can get to the...
