    There IS a codec so Windows Media Player will play DVDs (mine does) but I'm not exactly sure how I got it. I think it "installed" automatically when I downloaded WinDVD.

    Okay, after a few days still at a loss here. Can't see anything with internal video out. Tried popping ina nother AGP video card, nothing. Tried popping in a CI card I had laying around, nothing. Even though the power supply comes on, could that be an issue here, I'm at a standstill.

    Okay, figured out the f'ing problem.. BIOS was set to display LCD AND Monitor. Changed it to LCD only, bingo!!!! Now if I can only figure out why the wirelss card is connecting to my network but not allowing me to surf the internet that would be perfect!!!

    Don't klnow where you live but try going to Craigs List and buying a used one. More computer for your money I'm sure. Look for the listing of City near you, may be able to find one real close by that will be a good deal.

    Thanks, I'm all ears!!! I checked again and it does show up in the bios as well as device manager. When I check out the properties>settings in device manager there is no drive letter assigned, it's actually grayed out but there is a check mark next to DMA (whatever that is)

    Belated thanks for your reply Fresh Daemon, I appreciate it. I fooled around the other night with GAG- the graphical boot manager(from sourceforge.net) but didn't quite have time to finish it up and see if it would work for me. Hopefully give it a shot tonight and see. Anyone use this before?

    Did a little googling during lunch, found a site that gave instructions on doing so but it sounds like it's not exactly bing, bam, boom easy job. How about this OSL2000 Boot Manager that I ran across, anybody ever use this? Sounds a hell of a lot easier than changing all the files around etc.
