Half Life 2 - Sales Totals

Well as we all know, to play HL2 you have to use Steam. This page here http://www.steampowered.com/status/game_stats.html says that there are approximately 2.2 million unique users of Steam per month. Old CS is still the most played game and probably accounts for a great many of those users...

HELP Just installed HL2....

Have you tried running the game at stock speeds? I have my GT conservatively overclocked to 400/1.9 (stock cooling) and I get no artifacting in FarCry or Doom 3, but in HL2 it happens sometimes. HL2 runs better than either of the former two, but that doesn't mean the card isn't being pushed...

Prime95 craps out a minute into the stress test..

I just thought I should point out (I looked and I don't think this has been mentioned) that the 6800 GT is a single slot, single molex card. It should then be just as small and run just as cool as the X800 Pro. If availability is an issue, well then forget it, the obvious answer is the X800...

Building an XP-Mobile rig, go with the XP2400 or spring for the XP2600?

Urgent - Window XP Serial Number

It is possible, though I don't know that it's legal. I recently put together a new comp and I was able to use my old copy of XP Home and my old serial to install WinXP. It activated over the net without a problem.

Worth buying a ATi Radeon X800 Pro if you own a 9800XT?

I've got a Ti4400 as well and it is not butter smooth at 10x7 with everything on very high. I just recently upgraded to a mobile barton rig (2500+ @ 2.6ghz, 1gb of Muskin Level 1 PC3200 in dual channel mode, on a DFI infinity ultra), and I'm waiting for the GT to hit before I make my decision...

According to SiSoftware's Sandra, the overclocked mobile will be significanly faster than the A64 3000+ and 2800+ at stock speeds. An OC'd 2800+ should of course be faster than the 3000+ provided you get atleast 100mhz out of the oc (I've no experience OCing an A64, but that sounds easily...
