So, does the 7950GX2 count as a single card solution?

I definately think it's a Single Card Solution. Hopefully in the near future, it will be supporded without a bios update, and will perform at specs, but i think currently it's too buggy to use with many of the games/boards on the market. Just my opinion though.

Yay or Nay: Dilemma between A64 and P4 3.2..splurge or save?

I personally wouldn't buy anything Compaq. You should save and go for an Athlon 64, but certainly not from a company like Compaq which will lag down your machine with pointless ads, programs and other software. You know you can build a computer yourself for just about the same price? Go look...

X800 vs 6800 Doom 3 Benchmarks?

Apparently http://www2.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjQy claims that NVidia blows Doom3 out of the water, but again. We're looking at an OpenGL game running on a card optimized for OpenGL applications. How many games on the market really RUN on OpenGL and how many ATI cards and games run better...

Another thing...on that note, Doom 3 is focused on interior lighting and detailed graphics while HL2 is focusing on open air environments and huge detailed landscapes. You're looking at 2 entirely different, yet...similar games sharing a completely different area of the same Genre. I honestly...

Corel made new WordPerfect 12 fully compatible with 98 but left out Me, any workarounds?

Another thing you could do is go get a copy of Windows 2000. It's more stable than ME and 98, and you get the functionality and security of XP without the cost and the hassle. Another thing, i don't know why you'd want to keep ME in the first place, but you might be one of the lucky few who do...

I'd let it go. I mean money is money but it's 30 bucks. I agree with those who said to get him something, though i'd do it weither you cashed the check or not. It's just a nice thing to do.
