Thanks for all your input. I will try the option of calling Microsoft to get a new key generated. Heck, $10 is cheap compared to $70 to get a new OEM version of the software. I also prefer to keep everything on the up and up with the XP operating system.

AMD XP 2000+ OR extra money for Barton 2500+

O.K. In looking at Newegg, I discovered that the new Athlon Mobile 2400+ processor is slightly cheaper than the 2500+ processor. Are the Athlon Mobile processors better than the traditional Athlon Barton processors? Maybe I should consider the 2400 mobile?
