also remember that the console are worth more that you pay for them. The reason why they aren't that expensive is because they want you to get the consoles. Once you have them, you'll be paying for it by buying games.
i've seen it happen too.. prime and memtest does not mean it's stable. Also, just because your clock rate is high and your benchmarks are high, it doesn't make a good system. I usually lower my clock rate from my max stable freq. Sure i get lower bench scores but the computer just seems more...
At work today, windows xp automatic updates popped up and gave me 30 mins before it would shutdown because of updates. I wasn't the only one, other people at work had this happened too. I was just wondering if anyone had any news on why they forces the update. I had a lot of stuff open and...
i got a 3.4 p4 at work. HT is great, runs seti and grid at the same time while i'm working. Having them run both doesn't really slow eachother down. If i turned it off, then i could probably run one and won't be able to type anymore either.
if you don't overclock, don't mess with the heatsink. there's no point. you'll have a better chance ruinning the cpu by taking off a heatsink than ruinning it because of the thermal pad.
chipped cpus will work.. some ppl experience higher temps than usual with a chip, but other than that, it should work fine. runs some benchs and make sure it doesn't crash.. I recommend never taking your heatsink off ever again. There's a good chance that your chip will stop working if you take...
are you sure you even need more ram for your video card? from my experience and the games i play, 32 mb video cards are enough.. ie cs, starcraft.. i play doom 3 with my 32 mb ram card
why talk about average cpu temp? it varies from user to user depending on how they use their computer. you should be asking for max temp or lowest temp
if i remember correctly, connect all the level 6 L6 bridges with a pencil and you'll get 1.85 volts. Overwise, find your voltage regulator chip and look on online to see how to mkae you vcore higher. It's easily done by soldiering in a resistor.
can you rip using nero one both drives at the same time (one ide channel?.. you should test that). Well nero lets you open multiple instances of their program.. My HD is on SATA btw
Hey, i was wondering if it's normal to have transfer problems when using two deivces on one IDE channel. I'm using 80 pin round cables - are ribbon cables better?? I had two burners on the same ide cable, and i was trying to burn two cds at the same time. My hard drive was fast enough, the...
