You should be able to use Asus Probe to see if your rails sag under load from the games. That should help you. Also check your components temps to see if anything is overheating.
The cache is just onboard memory for the CPU. The more cache the better performance because the cache has the lowest latency starting from L1 to L3. With the larger cache the CPU can handle more processes onboard rather than sending it off to the memory attached to the board. So for gaming it...
Yes the high pitch noise usually begins once my CPU is put under load, like gaming. After doing some reading I have read on Ultra's forum that several owner of my new PSU have suffered the same problem. I will try to RMA this PSU as well as my TC510 and see if that solves the issue. The noise...
Yes it boots up fine. According to the Asus Probe the rails are stable and CPU temps are in the mid 40's under load. It is just the high pitch sound emitting that is unbearable. I have checked all the fans and other components and the only 2 left is either the CPU or Mobo, unless I am missing...
My Turbo Cool 510 Deluxe crapped out on me recently and I purchased a Ultra X2 550W modular PSU. Now when my PC is under load a high pitch noise is coming out from my rig. It appears to be either coming from the area around the CPU. Is my motherboard or CPU possibly damaged from the PSU...

a. you want to run a RAID config
b. your board doesn't support native SATA
c. if your board...
Yeah for now I just put the stock POS back on. I hate to put this nice cooler to waste.... I want to get better temps, right now idling in the mid 50's on stock speeds.
I am trying to put on my VF700-Cu, but the 2 of the 4 spring loaded screws on the stock heatsink won't budge. I am worried that they are getting close to becoming stripped. Any suggestions on getting this stock POS off??
The 1021 BIOS is only worth upgrading if you plan on using the 479 adapter. Otherwise the 1019 is fine, techinically nothing important as changed since 1018.
Are you sure it is on securely. I used the same HS on my 3.0C and I had problems getting to go flush on the CPU. After I fixed the temps were good, not as well as an XP-90.
