I found that lenovo rips off for the parts. You are much better off getting the laptop and then purchasing ram, HD etc. seperately.
I just ordered a different supped up t61 and returning it back this week. HP seems to be a much better deal for the buck including the outlet for Dell.
Quality service .. :) I truly can not believe you are still blowing the same horn. Anyhow that discussion is over long ago for me.
Obviously you are not aware of the context so no can blame you for making comments that are not relevant. During early 06, him and I got into heated dicsussion...
You are right on that you need a computer running 24/7. The device does exist and I've been using it for almost 1.5 years now. I LOVE it! Check out the best buy linky in my original post to see the device.
I would love to see his @ss here apologizing from me for all said in early 06. Anyhow... I'm pretty sure he also lost his job from SR with everything went down ...
SkyPe beats them both on all dimensions, price and quality!
If you don't care about emergency calls and transferring your current #, here is the trick as anandtech exclusive .. enjoy and i hope it will help you dump the useless and non-sense expensive vonage account :)
1. Get SkyPe...
I think as a company they've got to continue the business. After receiving 80MM in funding only getting 200K of subscribers is the sucky part. So whomever buys is getting the 80MM debt and a grumpy investors who wants his ball back :).
As I said I would cash those rewards as quick as...
There are rumors that SunRocket is closing down. If I were you I would clear my awards as soon as you can. Apperantly their founders have left in Feb with a fat check. Here is the article linky
SunRocket is not doing well there are rumors around that it will be closing down soon. Make sure you clear your awards
Check out the linky
Sorry I missed bdubya post. It is the same thing.
You are right and even the benchmarks say the same thing ... per the performance review by notebookreview.com Aspire with AMD CPU completed Super Pi calculation to 32 MM digits (a CPU processing capability benchmark) in 2m 22secs where the same took 1m 22secs with Dell 6400 1.83 GhZ core due. A...
All people coming off from S/R, I strongly recommend SkyPe Unlimited if you have a desktop at home that is connected to the Internet all times. Below is the configuration at my home that has been working like a charm since i closed my S/R ~ 12 months back.
1. Get SkyPe unlimited linky
2...
Make sure to read this document Acer 5100 performance review
This is a $500 laptop along with free router and printer so I'm not sure how realistic it is to expect XPS type of capability.
Being an ex-sunrocket and a new passionate SkyPe In customer, I can not emphasize the my satisfaction with SkyPe.
I quit using SunRocket 5-6 months back having enough with outages and incompetent support. I have switched to SkyPe in with a 3 month ($12!!) then extended to 1 year($30!!) deal...

Here are some quick facts about fact maker, Chuck Norris (copied from the linked site)
When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.
Chuck Norris doesn't read...
I think we all need to be more intelligent about "what gets attention". Instead of focusing on "presentable" media events that fills media companies pockets, let's look above and beyond these items which most of the time make the difference for the world, US as a country and as individuals...
Let's see ...
1. The guy can literally not speak except about his dog and pretzels
2. Under his leadership I can absolutely claim that US had the "worst" ever 6 years in international diplomacy for "each" year in these six years (not overall!!!, he is very competitive indeed)
3. US...
Where is the rest of this underwear? it missing its cheek covers and there is this string in the center right up against ur @ss.. This is just aint right :)
I'm sure if you squeeze yourself little more you can find many more excuses. Unfortunately non of these excuses do anything good for the business.
BTW, It is very normal and disrespectful of you george to mention something like "Bostonkarl made his brief appearances here and is now nowhere...
vonage vs. sunrocket:
I'm neither a vonage person nor do I recommend it. However, common sense to me answers it all. Just check thislink where there are ton of reviews and SR literally ranks 3rd at the bottom with 130 reviews. With company being this new and this many bad reviews clearly...
I'm lucky enough to kick SR out of my home for good :) and no my name is bond .. james bond.
I have previously placed the gizmo box behind two separate routers, wrtg54g and dlink 614. Alchemy firmware on wrt54g among all gave the worst results (breaking voice etc.). Nevertheless other...
For the ones sticking gizmo in between router and ur cable or dsl modem, be aware of the slow down gizmo causes to basic your network connection.
Here is the article
You can absolutely renew the contract with Cingular. However they do cause headache when you try to reduce the minutes or change a family plan to an individual. I have "heard" t-mobile is much more flexible for these matters.
I just transferred mine from cingular to t-mobile using lets talk...
Hallelujah brother! Come to the truth; make your gizmo a vase holder like mine! Two bumps on top are perfect to hold your vase in a perfect vertical angle.
Astrofan also posted an international call deal, be aware of my previous posts about international call problems (especially to cell #...
Nobody needs to listen to me or georgepa. Please go to dslreports and read the reviews/ratings for yourself. The ranking for SR (third at the bottom, not last though .. :) ) speaks for itself. This is kind a like a bad football team claiming they are a good team and yet they are to win a single...
I did loved my T40 except the non-sense 1024X768 screen resolution limitation w/o the dock station.
I was thinking the exact same thing until i tried the fujitsus. Nevertheless Ts are very good laptops but let's not forget the fact you are also paying for it. For $1500(lowest T43) you can...
Here we are again with "not all common story" .. Just like you Robor, I threw my gizmo away with all the pain it brought to my life ~1.5 month ago. I'm not sure if Vonage is the answer but getting rid of SR is absolutely the right choice!!
No you don't and that's what I'm trying to explain. The power adapter for the gizmo or for your laptop are already designed to handle any voltage in between 100 and 240. My notes are not based on "theory", these are things I have already done.
Yes. One plug converter like the on at radioshack and and a power strip.
EDIT: FYI it is almost always true that the adapters for your hardware work with 100- 240 V input but you should still make sure.
Here is another trick for you, take an "extension cord with 4-5 plugs" with you and then buy a plug adapter (just the adapter that changes the shape of the plug and nothing that changes the voltage). That way u will have 4-5 US plugs at ur disposal at the same time. I used the extension cord...
Make sure you have at least 128 KBPS upload. I used 64 and it was brutal. I could hear people but they could not hear me. If you have any kind of issue with SR and need to contact customer support via chat, do not mention to them that you are connecting from China. For whatever reason, when you...
If you think from the customer perspective , it does not matter whether it is SR, comcast, marsians, bush, saddam or whatever the reason may be. If my phone is down, it is down. I bet my $5 on the fact that, if the comcast servers go down for 15 days, SR will loose ton of customers. What...
Do you hear verizon complaining about AT&T's nation backbone being down? No .. comcast, DSL .. it does not matter .. bottom line the phone is useless when these problems occur. Whether it is caused by comcast, gizmo upgrade, SR is irrelevant.
