Dell 2005FPW & 6800GT Analog Input Problem

Yes, I've force installed the monitor driver and it showed up as Dell 2005FPW in the Control Pane. But some how, it only shows as a "Analog Monitor" when connect to my 6800gt. :( I guess I will give Powerstrip a shot.

Firefox 2.0 Download File problem

Ever since I updated to FF2.0, I'm having a strange download problem. Now, FF2.0 will only allow me to download 2 files @ once. If I try to download the 3rd file, FF will not respond until one of the two previous file has completed. Also, it seems like it takes longer time for the download...

need help with this format??

It's a RAR file. r30 means it's the 30th files of the whole complete set. There's no way to know how many rars are there if you don't have anything to verify them.

*DING DING DING* That's your problem right there. Obviously, the company no longer allows you to install the software to your hardware. You have to contact the company and tell them your situation and see if they can get around it; or they might offer you a new activation code.

best/most reliable wireless router/PCI combo

Go with Linksys WRT54G. It has been out for some times and there are so many hacked firmware for the router. It's cheap and reliable and Linksys warranty is great. And just get one of their 802.11g wireless card. Very reliable as well.

Need some assistance with this laptop hdd. Unable to create new partition.

Yep, I think the culprit here is the USB enclosure. Try to reformat it in an actual notebook or get another enclosure to try it. There are so many different USB chip that is used in those enclosure that you have to be careful what you got for your money. Many cheat ones are just plain junks.

DVD Burner Recommendation - 3 Drive Comparison

I would vote for Plextor. It is nice and reliable; but a bit more expensive than others because you can find oem models of Pioneer at much lower price. I used to get Pioneer ones, but the drive is loud and inconistent at times. But, I bought myself a NEC3550 and have been very happy with it so...

buzzing sound from speakers

I agree with CrispyFried. Another possibility is that you are receiving some electric noise through those speakers. So, check to see if your speaker wires are twisted, cross wires with bunch of other power plugs/wires. Basically, you need those wires to be loose and not tight/cramped together...

60Ft for bluetooth connection is not possible at all. Unless there's absolutely no signal interference like Wifi, wireless phone, cell phone, tv...etc My personal experience w/ wireless keyboard, the reliable distance is about 20 feet the most.

toasty hard drives

I agree w/ BadThad. Your computer will get lock up if your HD is way too hot. But unless you have some reason to suspect that your HD is getting too hot (like monitoring software warning), I will check your problem somewhere else. Maybe your cpu/video car fan is too dusty, check your system...

Get a font manager and see if you truly install those fonts correctly in your system. Also, if you installed Universe Black/Black Ext, they should only shown in the sub-list of Universe.

Dell 2005FPW Red dots in a dark screen issue

Seriously, if you just bought your lcd, just contact Dell and they will take care of you. I had bad one when I first purchased it. Once I contacted them, I got a new replacement in a week and it has been problem free for over a year now.

I guess my point is that there's a standard for mp3 bit rate. So, you can encode to a specific bit rate. On the other hand, JPG doesn't have that standard because the original image could be an optimized JPG already, thus when you lower the quality again, it degrades greatly. Sure, you can...

AnyDVD for the newer protection and DVD Decrytor if you only want to rip older movies. Sony keeps on releasing new protections, so, there's only so much that DVDD can work in the future releases. Those $ony bastards!

Burning movie image to DVD?

VCD is a CD image, not DVD. So, burn your VCD image to a CDR/RW and it will work.
