    I did, my first boot device is my harddisk. Everytime I change it to boot from my HD first, I get the cannot find Bootmgr error message. If I change it back to boot from the CD drive and leave the disk it, my OS boots normally

    I think your CPU is the major bottleneck. Followed by the video card. 2.1 ghz is rather slow nowadays for gaming. Keep in mind that most games do not take advantage of dual or quad cores. So clock speed plays an important factor in gaming.

    I had the exact same problem with my older 7950 GT video card. I tried multiple drivers and monitors. In the end, I RMAed the card and the problem went away. I also upgraded to a newer video card since.

    I would try flashing it with DD-WRT or Tomatoe( or any other open source firmware) and see if that resolves the issue. Plus, you also get more settings with those firmwares.

    I installed the newest drivers and reran the test. My cpu score is 27198 and graphics score is 9678. You are right that numbers shouldnt matter. I just wanted to double check if my system is performing at its best and it seems people with a similar set up score much higher.
