What about 2 x 76gb raid 1? or even 2 36gb r1? Yeah, you basically lose half your storage but your read/write increases dramatically and you've got total redundancy incase of failure.
I tested some identical drives, 2 in r1 and 1 by itself and the gain in my tests was ~40%.

Apex is a "leader" product, meaning it is the lower end product that salesmen lead with to begin "stepping" you up to a higher margin product. Seems to be ok product, but I agree with lancestorm, it is more disposable than the higher end stuff.
Need more specifics to make educated guess. Mainly depends on the type of business, size, and how much they rely on IT to run the company. Know people in the $50k range and others in the $90k range.
