the bios reports the temp around 34C - 45C, it was only in windows XP that it reported high temps, i found that the probes were reporting the wrong diodes, i switched them to winbond diode 2 in Motherboard monitor and it fixed them all, ASUS probe & Hardware monitor all report the correct...
the stock heatsink was warm and was only a copper circle within the heatsink so ive bought a Coolmaster Aero 4 and got the same results, so im thinkin it might be the board now, but ive scowered the net and found nothing about high temps before
just bought the P4P800e-deluxe with a prescott 3.2 and 512mb Ocz 3200 DDR, but when it boots in to xp the probe and motherboard monitor both report the cpu temp as 86C - 90C. any ideas? runnin both 3dmark 01 & 03 the temp doesnt move outside this range yet the the motherboard temp is 26C-29C
