People pick AMD for gaming for one very simple reason - they are faster.
Also they are both virtually identical to install so intel is no easier.
As I see it the only reason to go with intel dual core now is if you are on a budget.
Oh and build it yourself - just work out what you want...
Just go with the proven technique of "Trust me it will be fine" then once it arrives and she realises how bloody massive it is just make up an excuse why it can't be returned.
The school does not matter that much (pick any good one) what really matters is the sort of demos and stuff you can produce in your own time, these can a)get you a job without a degree or b)get you a much better job when paired with a degree.
Also that is a pretty wide field you are looking...
This is f**king brilliant, people need to stop being so bloody worried and just live and have fun, think I will go get pissed smoke a 20 pack and then just to be a daredevil ... take a shower
What is wrong with the prices? You would of had a hard time getting a 6800 Ultra for $600 just after launch. It is the fastest card currently available so it is not to hard to work out why it is more expensive.
Also just because some people have enough money to easily buy one and you don't...
Brilliant mate. I got one of those letters a few years back (they get worse the further you get into the application) and really wish I had sent a similar reply. Have they got back to you yet? Hope you have not sabotaged your application.
Still I find myself have to squint more when using an LCD as they contrast ratio is still not good enough so I think for my use it gives the CRT a very large advantage.
Also on nellienelson's point if you watch TV and there is a monitor in the background you can see lines rolling up and down...
I mean there is a volume issue in that it is only the large OEM's who seem to have them. Anyway I think we forget that compared to a certain pair of graphics card companies the CPU companies are angels.
Correct me if I am wrong but Dell has shipping at a few weeks (early May) and from my experience that is about normal for them. If Dell really can fill orders by early may then I would not call that a paper launch just a volume problem.
I think we should get used to this paper launch...
I was wondering what are the popular MMO games around here other than warcraft? Recently I have developed a crack like addiction to Rose just as I did to Ragnarok online.
So what do you guys play and any recommendations?
Also any other Rose players?
I used to have mine done (not for some silly want to look different reason though, I was real drunk and me and a friend wanted to know why people get it done so I jamed an ear piercing stud through my lip) and aslong as you change it real quick as in immediately you can do it after 2 or 3 weeks...
TuxDave is right even if you are rendering the whole frame and then displaying over two frames it only amounts to half the work of 1080p as it has an effective frame rate of half the TV's refresh rate (60 / 2 = 30) where as at 1080p assuming you are not repeating frames or anything you are...
Holy sh*t this is just amazing, the poor saps who go here must have a crap life.
Do they do any decent courses or do they just bible bash 24/7?
Oh well I would not get in anyway, I would (if being honest) only be able to answer no to 2 of the application questions.
My heart breaks
Yeah nintendo is a special case but the PS2 was made at a loss to begin (albeit a very small one) as is the PSP and from the sounds of things so will the PS3 be.
If CELL is all it is cracked up to be I imagine that the trio involved look to recoup R&D costs over a longer period.
I also...
I mix between the two. I am always nice/polite when asking a shop assistant something and will hold doors for people etc. But would quite happily tell someone who walked into me or cut me up in traffic to f**k off.
Yeah HT does not make a big performance differnece and I imagine neither will dual core to most but where I really expect to see improvement is multi tasking it should allow much smoother use especially when doing cpu intensive tasks like coverting movies and such, the computer should remain...
Did ATI not put it into the drivers control panel?
80C is far too hot I think my 6800GT is hot and it is only mid 70's under heavy load.
How dusty is your case? Those low profile heatsinks get clogged easily and that could be what is hurting you.
What are your load temps, if you dare check?
Yeah they are bloody heavy I got the normal not bling one and when ever I look at it I think to myself, if those lugs ever break that damn thing could easy take all the cards underneath it out.
So I put a tie wrap from the top corner to the support rail under the psu.
sleeping better now.
