Boot time depends on what applications you have installed. If you're using Windows and have any services set to automatic, that will affect your boot up time. I'm measuring boot up time from POST to login prompt. The more stuff you install, the slower your bootup time will be.
I've heard that scrubbing a SDD's data isn't as reliable with conventional programs as it is with platter HDDs, but I don't think this has anything to do with formatting which is a OS function and not a HDD one.

Enterprise-grade switches are loud and the fans are high-performance for a reason. They belong in wiring closets or data centers with the rest of the loud crap. Either get a cheaper switch or move the switch to a closet.
Not necessarily true. It depends on the application. No matter how much memory you have, some applications like games will give you a low memory error if your pagefile is too small. Other applications and games don't care.
