Slightly OT, but, 1280x960 is a better resolution than 1280x1024 for any 4:3 CRT (which is almost all of them). 1280x1024 messes up the aspect ratio, making pixels undersquare (i.e. letters look vertically squashed).
For some reason, a lot of video card driver / monitor combos don't list...
