You've got a CD-RW drive on there, as well as a CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive. You only need the combo drive.

Configuring 5.1 Surround sound

Just by looking at your post, unless it's a typo, I would think that it's not working because you're trying to configure 5.1 speakers to 6 channel sound. If you match the speakers to the channel type, it might work, but I'm just guessing here.

Memory Question

I'm in the process of getting a new PC, but I've run into a bit of a dilemna involving memory. I'll be playing games mostly, but 1GB of RAM is a bit out of my price range. Is 512 MB enough at the moment to tide me over until I can afford an upgrade? Or is 512 too outdated by now?

Monitor help?

I get a problem like that, when I either have my cellular phone on near the computer, or when someone turns on the television, which is just on the other side of the wall. If you don't meet these conditions, my post has meant absolutely nothing for you ;)
