i agree, spend 100 more. ive seen several 1GB dual core laptops goin for 450. might be w/ a 50 MIR but who cares..you get way more bang for your buck in the 450-500 price range.
But it is USB 1.1 = S L O W.
I picked up the Sandisk 1 gb for $114 AR a few weeks back. Other than not liking the ear buds (any ear buds for that matter, I'm a jogger) I'm real happy. Has FM and recorder (up to 45 min. recording time) One year parts AND labor (dbl up with a...
not too bad, no DVI though. This CMV appears almost identical but it also has DVI and a higher contrast and brightness. for $321 shipped
if you dont want DVI and like rebates..check out the Neso-Pixo. 16ms response time.
Here they have a 4in1 with fm radio.. $78 for the 512mb one. id prolly get the 1gb one for $111, i like the blue better. they also have 256 and 128mb versions and free shipping.
the new heatsink on the xfx cards is pretty nice. this is my first pine/xfx card but im really happy with it. had it about a month now. i dont need to o/c yet so i duno how it does there but it comes with 1000mhz memory where some agp cards have only 900mhz. it comes with x2: the threat...
anyone know whats up with certain companies selling 9600pros with 400mhz memory?
I got a gecube and i just assumed when i ordered it, that it was 400/600 for a 9600pro. well it came 400/200. i read some reviews of the same card and others on newegg and the gecube and sapphires both have people...
19in CRT here. its a mag 810fd trinitron and i dont know how long i wana keep it. id like to keep it till it dies but i dont think i can wait that long.... lcds are too tempting
lol... they always do that at frys.. try to act like you are making a bad choice in buying the combo they advertise..and offer some way more expensive combo. ive built 6 systems using frys ecs combos in the last 5 months... not one came DOA and they are all still working today, perfectly...
the princeton would be alright but i dont see the need to spend $400 and deal with the rebate when for $309 OTD you could get the polyview or CMV models that also have dvi+cable and have a lower 21ms response time. the hyundai with 8ms is looking really good actually...it tilts, has no speakers...
yea the imagequest with 8ms looks pretty sweet, and its only like $8 more than the imagequest with 25ms. which has lots of good reviews from people gaming... the thing i wana know is how the 21ms 19in lcds for ~$320 do while gaming. from the reviews on newegg it seems like response time isnt...
yea i like the polyview too. if you look at the CMV 19in for the same price, the box and cables are the same as well as the 21ms response time, and the reviews for it seem good the one guy said hl2 ran good.... hmm
Newegg
yea yea, it has no DVI. if it wasnt for that this would be hot like pedro's head.
I'm also looking at this one. what do you guys think of it? should I just keep waiting? I gota have DVI and below 25ms.
maybe not exactly hot, but still a good price on a nice agp 6600gt. they got some other good cards too. im happy with my xfx 6600gt but i paid 214 like a week and a half ago.
hm thats a tough call. I dont know how it oc's but i wouldnt expect anything w/o a pci/agp lock. I just finished installing winxp sp2 and all drivers. its pretty fast...feels the same as my a64 3000+ which is 2ghz not 1.8 like the sempron 3100. it sux to have such a nice chip for OCing and not...
i just got this card last week. paid 214 shipped at chiefvalue. the new heatsink is nice...it makes a lil noise but it doesnt bother me. gpu idle temp is 51c and it gets up in the low 60s under load. great card, jump on this deal.
my doom3 scores using the newest whql drivers 66.93 i think...
hah. we got the same combo and had similiar issues. my k7vta3 wouldnt work with the 9600pro I had but worked fine with an 8500LE .... i duno who to blame for that ecs or via? i say that because my 848P works with the same 9600pro...
edit: so far ive only had 2 ecs boards and besides that one...
the combos seem to be going up in price. i paid 59.99 for a retail 2500+ with k7vta3 a month ago now its 74.99, and 2 months ago i picked up the retail prescott 2.4a with 848P-A for 109.99 and yesterdays ad listed the same combo for 124.99, what gives?
mine came expired ....the letter was dated oct 26 and the expiration date was jan 26 2004. I emailed carls about this and got no response. Have you tried using the coupons with the letter to back it up? hard to say if its even worth it, arguing with the carls jr employees over $2.
thanks for all the responses. I don't think there is anything I can do to get the 8500LE to work in the cusl2-c. its already running the most recent bios version...and the Radeon 7000 I picked up today works fine. I guess ill put it on ebay or something....I paid 34 shipped from allstarshop and...
the mobo is a asus cusl2-c, it has a celeron3 coppermine core in it now...I dont think it has tualitin support but maybe. the card that was in it is a tnt2 ...is that a 3.3v card? im going to buy a radeon7000 today and see if it works...
I think it's usb powered. I wish someone who owned one would chime in but they are still relatively new. My concern is if it's going to survive the same type of abuse my usb flash drive does.
