    I'm playing in the Tribes: Vengeance beta and WoW beta and both of them run fine. Tribes: Vengeance rules btw !! Edited to add, I am now using the 66.31 drivers

    No problem, I've just seen this "V-sync doesn't kill framerates!" stuff spread around a lot latey, and I'm really not sure why but it irritates me... I guess because I can see it in actual gameplay. I just wish this entire problem would magically go away in the first place lol.

    Wow even better than the last post, thanks for the info. Also as you said, I was able to find a triplebuffering option in the tribes config INI and I set it to true. It helped out a lot, but I can still notice stuff because I just notice every little thing like that... I've read triple buffering...

    Turning down the refresh rate doesn't do anything ace. BFG is completely correct in his repsonses and there's really no reason to back them up as it is pretty much common knowledge that vsync will kill framerates.

    Thermaltake thermal tape messed up...

    My thermal tape that I should use to tape the temperature sensor to the heatsync came wrinkled so I can't use it... is there a quick fix I can do for this at all? It's a thermaltake P4 SP7 Xaser edition.

    Is anyone else annoyed when people come in and say "Doom3 is perfectly playable on xxxx... I find it very smooth" then they don't even post their timedemo score so we can get an idea of what they find as "smooth"? It just miffs me a bit.

    I probably should have said I've already done that. I also rolled back to WHQL official nvidia drivers and no change. I guess I thought that if you knew I could run farcry and doom3 for hours on end without any problems, you might figure this is not an overclocking problem. My mistake.
