Unable to view images in Anandtech articles

Im having the same problem. I dont really feel comfterable disbaling my Norton firewall though. Isnt there some sort of setting that can be changed to fix this problem?

Help, computer isn't booting at all

something similar happend to me onec, all i had to do to fix it was remove the ram and then plug it back firmly in the slot. computer booted up perfectly then...

Is LCD really all that it's talked up to be?

Yeah Im using a 2405FPW too and man is it good. Before I bought it I was just as hesitant as you are, but once I bought I haven't looked back since.

What brand of 9800pro

I have the HIS IceQ 9800 Pro 256 version, and i succesfully flasahes it to a "real" XT. No question you should get HIS, cause of the perfect cooling system, but whether to get the 128 or 256 version is up to you. OC capability is great on both, but for true XT youll need the 256 version. Good...

Best HL2 upgrade for an AMD XP 2400+

The extra 256 of RAM wont increase your performance a 1/4 of what a 6800GT would go out an buy it. Dont worry about your cpu and RAM. My rig is similar (Athlon XP 2800+, 512 RAM) and I recently went from a GeForce 5200fx to a 9800 XT... and my video card is still the bottleneck of my system...

Is the Dell 2001FP really the best gaming LCD?

I've been heavily researching for a new gaming moniter and Ive come upon many articles that really praise this LCD on everything, and others that say that if gaming is your thing, an LCD is not for you. Anyways, can LCD's and gaming go together? If so which LCD? I would really prefer something...

Whats the difference between socket 939 and 754?

Ive been hearing major hype concerning the arrival of socket 939 but what benfits does iot offer in place of socket 754? Also I saw that some of the Athlon 64's are even shipping for soket 940?! whats that about? Please excuse my noobishness.. hehe

A 9800 pro question (256 vs. 128)

I would really like to know if the extra 128 mb of RAM is worth the extra cost, also sincve i would like to flash the bios to 9800 xt and oc it. Some guys have told that in order for a 9800 pro to behave like an XT it has to have 256. True? Well anyways please post ur thoughts.

no..it's my turn for "upgrading my computer thread"

i have a very similar system. So if i were u i would definetly consider getting the 9800 pro and oc´ing it to 9800 xt speed. Its not really that expensive... plus consider selling ur 9600 on ebay or something.. As for RAM 512 mb is fine for now. Really most games dont take up all of the 512...

dun dun dunnn.....im about to switch over to the dark side :-p

yeah i had an imac for a couple of years before i switched to PC for gaming purposes. But for educational purposes and also the stability and user friendly envirement i would say Apple is definetly the way to go. It also looks ultra cool! :-)

Ok thanks ive decided to fork over the extra $ 90 for the 256 version of the iceQ. Oh and in total the whole bundle costs $ 882.91. Its pretty costly but i think itll be worth it. BTW thanks for all ur suggestions.

yes i can still cancel but im not convinced about the benefits that 256 offers over the 128 mb. ph and one more thing, i also ordered a haupage 250 mce. By what ive rewad its the best tv tuner/pvr around. is it?

ok thanks. one more question? what do u guys think about the stock cooling on these boards. MSI and high tech seem to have very good stock cooling. Or should i just opt for something else like thermaltakes Giant II? Thanls again

My NEW PC specs

Pretty good for the price. I think you made a good decision sticking with the 9800 pro instead of the x800 since you'd probably need a better processor ot complement it.

Ive been browsing around newegg and ive establushed that im getting a 9800 pro for its combination of price and perfomance. The only thing stopping me from placing my order is thta there are som many brands to choose from: Power Color, Saphire, etc. I could really use any sugestions you guys...
