Is it even worth it to buy a sound card these days? Creative hasnt come out with anything new in a long time, their drivers are absolute garbage, EAX rarely ever works and when it does it is buggy and crashes. Sound timing is off in cutscenes of 50% of games as well, sometimes very badly...

Honestly, if anyone still actually buys NFS games.. its your own damn fault. NFS hasnt been any good since the titles on PS1. After that they have all sucked major dick. The last couple titles have all been absolute garbage too. Why would anyone expect this one would be any good either...

Chocobar, I have a rig a notch better than yours, same vid card tho. The open beta ran for me at around 10-15fps. And this went for 90% of people i talked to as well. Unless you have the best hardware available at the moment, game runs like total ass. And that was with most of the options...

FFXIV Runs like hell?

I'm just surprised nobody on the dev team thought one day.. "hey! 95% of players are running at 10fps-15fps and our graphics are sub-par... we do something wrong?" I'll never understand what goes through their heads when they decide to release games (especially MMO's) in a shape like this...

I'm really surprised so many people are preordering this game. I'm sure its a great game. But in its current state its literally unplayable. I'm actually shocked they would consider releasing this game in its obviously horrendously unoptimized state.

FFXIV Runs like hell?

Just so nobody asks me.. Got a 2.6ghz i7 gtx 260 6gb ram And FFXIV probably runs at around 15fps with no AA. It runs like absolute ass. And the game isnt even that demanding. I've tried to google this and came up with nothing. I can play crysis at max settings and it runs very well...
