So is your Maxtor DiamondMax 10 drive your primary drive where your OS is installed? Because I have almost the exact same setup, and I just want to make sure that NCQ on by default won't screw up my system.

Well I am a little hesitant to install these if they enable NCQ automatically. Last time I enabled NCQ on my Maxtor drive, I couldn't boot into Windows and I had to reformat my entire drive and reinstall everything. So if anyone has a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 drive that isn't their primary drive...

I am using an Audigy 2 ZS. The only problem I have had, is sometimes when I am syncing my iPod using the Audigy 2 ZS firewire port, I get a BSU. And I never have that problem when I sync my iPod using the motherboard firewire ports. Other than that, I haven't had any problems.

What's the verdict for ASUS A8N-SLI and Maxtor Maxline III HD's?

Shawn, I had the exact same problem, except my Maxtor was my primary drive. So after I enabled NCQ in windows, I couldn't ever get back into windows. I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall windows. Lets keep this thread going so when Maxtor or Asus comes up with a fix we will know...

asus a8n-sli q-fan trouble

When I enable q-fan it only slows my chassis fan and CPU fan, and not my chipset fan. I don't think it is supposed to slow the chipset fan. And my values for the CPU fan were also all over the place like yours, so I wouldn't worry about that. When I had it enabled my CPU reached 51 degrees...

I think you may be right. I have this same card (I am not running SLI, but I am worried that it might not work in SLI mode). I took a closer look at the box and noticed that no where do thay have an Nvidia SLI logo on the box, it just says PCIE. So I think you are right, they didn't get SLI...

Hmm I didn't install any extra SATA drivers either. Oh well, I just ran Sisoft and I am at 50MB/S so my performance isn't hurting at all, so I am not worried. Do you know if our motherboards support NQ and if so how do you make sure it is enabled?
