Fix Crunchy Logitech Keyboard Keys

I can understand what you're saying about the mat, but the mat seems to be ok in mine. Instead it seems like the keys are rubbing too hard against the plastic they slide through.

ive got it down to these 2 laptops...which should I pick?

If you care more about looks, go with Sony (or check out my BST thread for a more powerful Sony CR that's new and a cheaper). If you care about performance, go with the ASUS. If you are going to wait for the ASUS, you might find an even better deal on either one when the time comes.

I just don't see how there was a power surge, considering the first dead board seemed to die while the machine was already off. THe shuttle Power supply did turn on the hard drive and fans, but that's all. I also did have everythign else disconnected just in case.

TV Tuner Audio/Video out of sync in 15 min

Over the weekend I removed Powerdvd 6 and tried a copy of WinDVD on the system but no matter what I tried, the audio and video still will go out of sync when watching TV.

Is there any way to change what codec my tuner software is using? I'm beginning to think my problem is because powerdvd 6 is installed (haven't uninstalled it yet), but I would want to make sure that the codec changes too if it's removed or if there's simply a way to change what codec the tuner...

Edit: How is this Sapphire TV tuner for playing consoles?

I use a Leadtek USB PVR card on my laptop and an Avermedia UltraTV 1500 PVR on my desktop. Both do not have any lag and look awesome.

WinXP Video/Audio skips every 60 seconds

I will look into desktop cleanup, but I am not running anything else in the background that I know of. As I said before, I have quit everything in task manager that is not a critical part of windows and the skipping still happens.

Data on NTFS is Invisible.....

Good idea, but i think i tried that, maybe I didn't. I know the drive did have a shared folder on it and at one point I had trouble getting into it and reset some permissions. Maybe something screwy is still going on. Cool to find another Transformers fan outside of some transformer forums. :)
