Need a new router, want to use dd-wrt

Is there a reason for the extra random switch? Why not just buy an all-in-one wireless router that has gigabit speeds?

New Member needs advice on a system...

For the games today, I'd consider getting a little more RAM. If Blu-ray is important to you, you might as well get that instead of a second DVD drive. Otherwise, looks good.

KVM Switch for widescreen DVI montior

Do I need a special KVM switch in order to have a widescreen aspect ratio for a DVI widescreen monitor? Or can I get a standard KVM switch with a DVI port? Any recommendations for one that has USB ports (for a keyboard and mouse) and DVI in/out ports?

WMP Video problems

Seems that whenever I use WMP to view a video of any type, the color is all off, kinda like the gamma setting is set way off the scale. All other stuff on my screen looks okay, it's just the video. Any recommendations?

Resizing images to different aspect ratios

I take pictures at very high resolutions (2560x1920). However, I have a widescreen monitor and the pictures become distorted when I make them my background. Does anyone know of a programme that will automatically resize a picture by shaving off a bit of the top and bottom? Thanks in advance.

Remember that collection of AOL Trial CDs?

I recently found this site on the Internet: http://www.nomoreaolcds.com/ What they plan to do with such CDs is put them all in a truck and dump them on AOL's doorstep in Dulles, VA. Yeah, where I live. Booyah! I'd love to see this happen. I apologize if this has been posted before.

Dell new 20" wide LCD 2005FPW. Has anyone seen this beast?

I'm a little concerned about permanently running a widescreen monitor though because I know some older games (and even a few new ones) don't support widescreen. At this moment, though, it looks like I'm leaning towards the 2005FP. Any other thoughts?

CRT: A Gaming Guru.

Right now I'm looking to storing my NEC MultiSync FE991SB (that's 19") monitor for a 20" LCD. Honestly, the LCDs nowadays are so clear (to me) to the point that I can't make out a difference between the two. But I'm definately for the gain in a cubic foot of space or so. :D

Strange eVGA 6800 Ultra problem

I too have had the occasional "flashing". It deleted an entire DVD project I was working on. :o I'm pretty sure it has to do when the screen saver tries to come on, but I'm not sure yet. It's only happened maybe five times.

Looking to convert old VHS tapes into DVD's

Hmm... there WILL be a quality difference if you use the coax instead of RCA/S-Video. Isn't there an RCA to S-Video/audio RCA jacks convertor at Radio Shack? I think that would be best.

Dell new 20" wide LCD 2005FPW. Has anyone seen this beast?

Aspect ratio is so much a concern as image quality is. I want the crispest, cleanest image possible for gaming. My Dad has an NEC-Mitsubishi 2080UX and it's image quality is near perfect.

Dell LCD 20inch 2000FP -- same as NEC 2080UX?

I've heard from a couple sources that the Dell 2000FP (don't know about the 2001FP) is actually the 2080UX made by NEC. Anyone else hear this?
