Need Help! Comp Problem.

ugh....i hate to say but you might be right. you don't think it's a hardware failure though do you because it still boots up fine in Safe Mode? or am i wrong in thinking that?

Need Help! Comp Problem.

So I get home from work yesterday?do some stuff around the house and all of a sudden I find that my case fans, including the CPU Fan and Video Card, are all NOT running for some reason?..the power supply fan is the only one running. The computer is running, meaning everything on screen is fine...

thanks for the suggestions. yeah...i don't plan to do any overclocking, so hopefully i won't have problems with the RAM. Oh, i thought the CD that came with the MB has the flash utility on it? am i wrong?

A8N-SLI Premium Bios Update?

i'm getting my board in a few days from newegg and am wondering something. i'm guessing i'll probably have to do a Bios update and am not sure if this board has a windows based update or not? If not, can someone please give me directions on how to do it by floppy/cd or link me to a site...

i'm not looking to overclock. i've also now thinking about maybe just going single core and get some extra ram instead..not sure though...or maybe going with a GTX with the extra money. thanks for your advice.

EMERGENCY, need to find a power supply for a Gateway

i had a gateway till about a month ago...i got it back in Nov. of last year and had to replace the power supply. I bought a standard ATX antec true power 420, fit perfectly and worked without any flaws.

Some kind of bottleneck

my old rig was a 2.8 Northwood and i have a 6800GT, mine never did that.....i had a gig of ram in that one though, maybe that's what it is. I had awesome frame rates with the 2.8C and the GT.

what's the best way to reformat my hard drive...do i just stick the Windows cd back in and tell it to reformat? and when you say chipset drivers, you mean the latest bios as well right?

yup, i have an MSI board and did the live update, have the most recent bios and drivers. could it be a graphic's drivers issue. Far Cry is running really crappy too, but games like Doom 3 and Painkiller look and play great.

Just built this system (sig), my scores suck! i'm getting like 1943, that was my highest, my old P4 2.8c was getting almost 10,000 with the same video card.....what could be the issue?

Yes i did. So far i've tryed 3 games and one benchmark. Doom 3 and Painkiller look and play great Far Cry and 3dMark03 are runnign like crap...you think this is all a graphic driver issue?

I knew i was to good to be true, i just put this rig together (sig) without any problems but now i'm running into problems, okay here we go. Oh everything is detecting fine on my comp, memory, hard drives and everything went smooth and i'm not overclocking, i never ran memtest or anything...
