well, yea i suppose that it WOULD fix my problem, however, i have the hardware mentioned above already for other reasons and dont want to go out buy another thing just for that

VHS to DVD? how is it done?

OK, so i have a bunch of vhs tapes that i want to burn to dvd's but im not sure where to go, im kinda stuck... this is my setup so far: i have a vcr connected via composite cable (could be s-video if i wanted) to my TV Wonder Pro remote ed. so i can watch and record my vhs to different forms...

dvd+r and dvd-r what does it all mean?

i have a dual format dvd burner, therefore it burns both dvd+r and dvd-r. although im not really sure what the difference is. i tried to read some explination of both, and from what i could understand it meant that the +r is what i should use and -r is an industry standard...but this dosent...

great responses guys, very helpful so far. ive been looking at the hd555's, but i havent found too many reviews on that model, i have a spreadsheet with the diff sennheiser models and found that: i can get an hd555 for approx 115 hd280s for approx 90 hd500 for approx 50 hd590 for approx 180...

usb 2.0 drivers?

if for some reason you find that the usb 2 drivers arent installed correctly, or you want to be sure, go into hardware manager and uninstall your usb drivers completely and then install them again once SP1 has been downloaded, my usb drivers did not auto update to usb2 automatically but this...

allright, so heres my setup as is: i have my custom pc thats pretty lacking in the audio sector. i have an Asus A7N8X Dlx thinking that the onboard audio would make it worth my while to go dlx... i know that a lot of ppl out there own this mobo and i was wondering...should i get a new sound...
