Refurb BFG EX-1000 (W) PSU, $50+5 ship, geeks.com

Considering its a refurb; 90 days warranty. Wouldn't expect any backup from BFG itself anyways. Just going to have to keep an eye on it for a bit at first. As a backup/throwaway; the price was hard to beat :D

Asus DRW-22b1st DVD Burner hangs [or slows down to 1.xx writing speed]

Found another burner to throw in. This one randomly starts throwing 'Failure (Read Error)' during burns through different programs. Sometimes picks back up. So It's not the drive. Maybe shuttle drivers? :/ Clueless.

Thanks, I'm not so much worried about compatibility - its more of how much is the performance hindered if I buy a 2.0 capable GPU but is only utilizing 1.0. Does the performance of the GPU cut in half? Which I guess is why I was asking why buy a more expensive card, if you can only perform so...

Thanks for the tip. I ran Real Temp, and went to settings and when I checked the Tjunction to set manually, they showed 90 already. RT also reports 44*C idle @ 1596.03mhz 266x6. It does mention the GPU at 62*? :/ Just never had a rig put off this much heat. Considering selling it and...

Q6600 Build - Hot!

Been watching it for some time now. Even without the cover, its at 44*C during anandtech browsing times :P Might try to reverse the fans on the shuttle. Or replace the vid card if I can find one that would fit without clearing issues that isn't passively cooled :/ Hrm.

Repairing a Razer DeathAdder Mouse?

You can definitely see where the cable is damaged. Unfortunately theres three parts that are questionable. Sounds a bit complicated for me, not to well with a soldering iron. Blah. Maybe sell for parts then. This is why I don't like cats :( Thanks for the tip though, may give it a try.
