So, when can we expect to see video cards with HDCP?

And I'm not just talking about one or two specialty cards, but in the mainstream. When can I expect to be able to purchase one of these a reasonable (for a video card), in the $300-$350 range and still have a few choices of brand and maybe even chipset. Dan

ATI is not HDCP ready

I have an HDCP compliant TV. I have an hdcp compliant Home Theater receiver. Neither of those needed an additional chip to work. The were "HDCP Ready". ATI claimed their card was "HDCP Ready", but its simple not. How could anyone not see this as the clear false advertising that it was. How...

Why would anyone publish a storage related price guide without including $/gb information for each drive? What is the anadtech staff thinking? Sure, we can calculate them ourselves, but trying to do that for the whole range of drives gets old quick. This is basic information that should be...

Geil PC4000 GL1GB4000DC and Asus A8N-SLI Premium?

Does anyone know how the DFI NF4 Ultra-D has its PCI-Express slots configured out of the box? Its got 2 16x slots, 1 4x slot and 1 1x slot. Obviously, these can't all be configured at full capacity, since there are only 20 PCI Express slots on the system chip. So, is it 1 16x, and 3 1x? DanW

Better cooling the Silverstone TJ03 or the Lian-Li PC-V2000?

Well, it looks like the power stream will not fit in the v1000, then. How much roomier is the V2000? The PowerStream Needs about 10mm more that the v1000, its 175x150x86 mm. Thanks, DanW

Sounds like the prevailing option goes to Lian-Li. Does anyone know if the OCZ PowerStream power supplies will fit into the PC-V2000? I know they are a little bit long and was concerned that it might not fit. DanW

Zoomplayer works with DirectShow filters of any sort. Most codec makers use this because it is the same format used with WMP9 and WMP10. This is a standard Windows interface intended for this very use. DanW

I was just looking at all this and I noticed that they don't state in the X-bit labs article that they are testing with WMV-9. They simply state "HDTV clip", which isn't necessarily WMV-HD, it well could be MPEG2, which is used in over the air HDTV broadcasts. An uninformed reviewer might well...

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum?

Ok, I get it now. The Marvel is just a transciever and that hooks into the backend (PHY) ethernet solution coming off of the nForce 3 Ultra 250GB chip. Then the Realtek is a complete second gigabit ethernet port on its own chip. Thanks for the help, DanW

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum?

So, when I read the reviews here Anandtech keeps saying that the MSI M8N Neo2 uses the nVidia Gigabit ethernet solution. But, when I read the specs on the MSI website, it says they use two gigabit lan solutions, Marvel, and Realtek. So, I was curious if anyone knows who is right about this? DanW
