I would leave Orthos running at night and when I woke up, the system had rebooted. I think this was because Automatic Updates was automatically rebooting at 3am to install updates. I turned off that feature, and will see if it does it again tonight.
Anyway, Orthos has been running for almost...
Ok, I'm getting pretty pissed off.
I moved the computer into my room -- I'm using the same settings as above, and my computer keeps restarting after an hour or so of Orthos. My cores are running at 50c/46c.
I ran Orthos 27 hours stable out in my living room -- with lower core temps, but...
Will try both. How high can the NB Vcore be pushed before I need to start worrying? I have it set to 1.25v right now.
I actually live in Florida -- TAT, Speedfan, RMClock read those temps while I had the case closed in my living room. I've since moved the case into my room, and the idle and...
I'd just like to share my overclock results with my new system... and report my love for the E6420.
First, here are my specs:
Intel E6420 2.13GHz
Asus P5B Deluxe
Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 (5-5-5-15)
Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
Scythe SFF21F 120mm
My overclock results:

Hi,
I have a question about FSB speeds.
I know FSBs range between 266 and 500 nowadays, with 500 being the extreme upper limit. Meanwhile I hear people talking about how their FSB is running at 1333MHz, 1600MHz, etc... is this because the FSB is quad pumping data per clock cycle? Because...
The Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 2x1GB 5-5-5-12 I just bought a few days ago for $209 is now up to $280!!!! So much for falling prices... glad I jumped in on that deal while it was low.
Yes, you're understanding it correctly. Depending on what motherboard you're going to run, you may be able to set different FSB:memory ratio speeds, instead of the standard 1:1. At 1:1, memory is twice the FSB. It is the optimal ratio to run your memory at; I think I've read that any other ratio...
I would go with the G.Skill. It's DDR2-800, which means you can reach 3.0 - 3.2 GHz with an E6400 (at 400MHz bus speeds... 8*400). without overclocking the memory any. Plus it has lower timings than the OCZ. If you go with the OCZ with lower timings than the G.Skill then you shouldn't have any...
Same here! I got mine today, and I was expecting it tomorrow. For free ground shipping that's AWESOME, I got it in 2 days. And the 2 day shipping option was going to cost $36, so I'm really excited.
Just bought 2GB Corsair XMS2 PC-6400 from newegg.com for $209 with that $40 MIR, coupled with this $15 deal. $154 for 2GB Corsair XMS2 6400... I'd say that's pretty good. Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for the heads up on this deal, I just grabbed one. I'm from Florida so I'm only spending $79.99 so I'm stoked... my co-worker just grabbed one too.
