I think the rebate issues are in the past. A lot of people won't forgive them but I've had good luck with them in the past 3-4 years with a couple of rebates. I've read much the same in other threads that come up about them so it looks like they have changed for the better.
I do understand...
Discover has 5% cash back too at Sears (cash back at ebates/fattywallet too -- suspect can't combine with Discover cashback if it is via their portal).
The Amazon Video On Demand has some free stuff too:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/video/ontv/start
Click "Free Videos" about halfway down on the right. Seems like somewhat slim pickings maybe but I haven't looked through it much. I'm waiting for the Roku player to support it within a couple weeks.
Looks like same TDP as E2xxx series (which makes sense if the E5xxx is the replacement for that line). I'm really surprised the prices haven't dropped more on the e2xxx chips or the equivalent over the last 6 months or so. Maybe the low end is so much better than it used to be?
I'm in for one...
Any thoughts on the SVA 2400W? Here is one thread about it that I'll snag the review links from:

So NewEgg shafted you too? My order no longer exists in their system. I'm going to go leave a negative review on ResellerRatings.com for NewEgg. I've left a positive in the past but this is poor customer service. I just figured this out today (and came back to this thread) and I still can't...
Thread is from 11/7/2007? Lot of reviews in the thread for the specific RAM? Prices have come down quite a bit at many sellers? On average, the price at eWiz was lower than others for the majority of the life of the thread? Green eggs? :)
My guess is a lot of people mentioned this deal to friends and family at Thanksgiving. The response is up, Microsoft is happy and they are going to continue riding the wave until response goes down. When will that be? Good question. Maybe never, maybe in a week or two or maybe after Christmas. I...
External hard drive, USB stick, etc. It can play DiVX files off of burned DVDs or off of external devices connected via USB. The device doesn't support long file names (at least the 5982 didn't) and the problem with the prior models were that the USB ports were 1.1 so medium to high bitrate...
Now down to $16.50 per 2 GB stick.
But if you want 8 GB or more then the shipping is less of an issue as the low cost per unit works in our favor. It all depends what you are looking for. I ordered the $16 after rebate 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) of memory from Fry's for Black Friday-ish sale just...
I'm using mine right now on my desktop with Q6600 at 3.0 Ghz, WD 640 GB, and an 8400 GS (fanless). No complaints but I'm certainly not stressing it! I wish they'd put the EA380's on sale for $29.99 again with free shipping. I knew I should have ordered at least a couple.
Edit: On a side note...
Does anyone have experience with Dell regarding their warranty and LCDs brought off of eBay? I've found conflicting information on this subject. I'm thinking about buying the 2408WFP.
Most eBay sellers advertise a 3 year warranty. One advertises both that and the fact that these are "plain...
My 2 x 1 TB ordered on 11/18 via CompUSA (did the $20 back on $200 PayPal deal) has "shipping data received" by UPS on 11/28 (today). So it looks like they are getting shipped. I want to see what the noise and heat is like. I want to buy a couple more (limit of 5 rebates) but the heat sounds...
I got through in the end but I was so exhausted that I just gave up -- I don't need a notebook and they didn't include the really nice LCDs. Almost brought a B9180 printer but meh...
I didn't realize it went for 24 hours though. Oh well, HP/Live.com can suck it on this deal (I'm all over the...
You can also pick up a Q6600 used for about $100 on eBay after the MS cashback (it isn't in the store listings -- you search for "wii", "ps3", "digital camera" etc. on live.com and then click on the link that says "up to 25% cash back with paypal on ebay" or similar in the ads area). Of course...
Thank you for the confirmation. I don't know how I messed it up that badly (guess it was time to go to bed). You've saved me some time here as I can just keep it in my backup system and get something else for the Q6600.
edit: Wait, I posted in the afternoon. Well, I don't know what I was...
I did have it wrong -- it is the MS-7236 v2.2 Neo3 (no -F on the board, NewEgg listed it as such). I think it is this one:
http://www.msicomputer.com/pro....asp?model=945P_Neo3-F
Looks like the above except v2.2 PCB instead of v2.1 (doubt that matters much). I swapped out the video card...
MSI tech support "helpfully" replied to a link of an AMD motherboard for CPU support but I do accept their prognosis that the motherboard/bios doesn't support quad core CPUs :(.
I checked:
- have 4 plug power for CPU plugged in
- reset BIOS
Still doesn't work with the Q6600. I did use a BSEL-moded e2180 in it so I'll check the socket tomorrow to see if some metal filler remnants are in the socket/pad area. It seems like this should work but oddly doesn't.
I...
Good questions -- I've got a couple of PC Chips P53G motherboards for HTPCs so I tried both Q6600 CPUs in them. They both work without issue there. I used using the Antec EarthWatts 380w with the P53G and the 430w with the Neo3-F. So both of those bases should be covered. I just realized I might...
What is the noise like compared WD 640 GB (the good one)?
edit: Reviews don't look too horrible as long as you keep a fan on them. I'm in for a pair! Thanks for the tip on the $20 off $200 (and of course, FatCash). I sent an email requesting they do a refund as they overcharged me for...
So I upgraded the BIOS to v3.7 and tried the other Q6600 I have and no go -- just doesn't post. Pop back in the e2180 and away we go. Any tips? I'm looking at the open box motherboards at NewEgg right now.
Now down to $20 via Froogle, $20.50 direct. According to their cart though, this may be the end of the line:
I wimped out and didn't order before but now I will after I decided between 8 GB and 16 GB :).
edit: Went with 8 GB which should be plenty for now. I got some ZM-CS1 kits to adapt...
Has anyone run a Q6600 on the MSI P43 Neo3-F? I recently received two Q6600s and I tried one in the Neo3-F and it didn't boot. I removed an e2180 to try the Q6600 and that e2180 is working fine before and after. I concluded that the CPU is not supported but now after doing some googling, it...
