    Are you sure you won`t conisder one of the excelent 24-75mm f2.8 from Tamron? No IS but fast, cheap and well regarded. Canon 28-135 IS might be an option also?

    Differences in filter polarizers

    Filter are always confusing. You need a "slim filter" due to the wide-angle-ness of your lens. Circular as well. Check out Hoya and B&W.     What is your favorite Lens?

    My Canon 70-200 F4 L IS, fast AF and almost always a very nice picture when I use it. My 17-85 and 50 1.8 can not hold a candle to it. It is probally in hte range because I also liked my 70-300 Sigma.

    Cleaned my keyboard

    I think the trick is to clean the keyboard before it gets too dirty. I usually hold my keybord upsidedown and spray some cleaningsolution at it. Let it soak a minute and whipe it off and let it dry (still upside down). That is the quick way for resonable results.

    good glass is always better than a good cemra which will be outdated before you know it. So I have voted for the 28-135. But please do indeed consider the XTi with Tamron 17-50 f2.8 or the new and improved canon 18-55IS or some primes.

    System 2 has just 80gb of HDD? Not sure why system 2 has a 500w psu and 1 has 450w? I get a feeling of "leading to a conclusion" as system 2 also has a beter cpu. You could also ask is on system 2 it worth to buy 2 gb instead of 1gb? That could/ would give you different answers.

    Azureus is running here with 65 torrents open. It does not use more than 130 mb (including java). Usally Firefox, outlook, WMP, messenger & MS Word are running also. I never come close to using 1gb. DVD burning does not get there either. I`d say 1 gb is enough for now.
