Does the Nec 2510a burn at 8x?

i got the NEC 2510A dvdburner too:) i was having the same problems befor i upgraded the firmware.. update it wiht henrie's firmware and you got your self a kickass burner "it will even burn some 4x speed at 8x" Henrie's got everything you need ( if you dont mind using Modified Firmware )...

Tried To Add 2nd HD

thats frustrating... DOS trouble code beeps = POST (Power On Self Test) you need to narrow down posabilitys here.. i would unhook both IDE cables from the motherboard.. and turn it on... if it dosent POST the problem is in the MBoard, Processor, Cards... --start removing Cards one...
