I understand your concept and agree with swift and harsh punishment. But jails and prisons are already over crowded. Not to mention that with our awesome justice system anyone sentenced to death would get an automatic appeal.....which could drag on for 10 years or so.
It had mechanical problems that were probably beyond repair on the spot so they just used a good amount of explosives and blew it in place. SNAFUs like this are normally planned for in military operations of this design.
I try not to let it affect me as I still need to commute to work 30 miles round trip each day with a Jeep that gets 15mpg. But it is starting to piss me off. $3.90 a gallon here today.
of course i don't have any antivirus program on my windows xp machine on an unsecured wireless network while surfing torrentz and pr0n sites all day. gosh! :P
