I would recommend that everyone print-screen this because if you click on rebate details at the top it says it is a $50 rebate for the 400sc and when you print the rebate form it does not mention the dollar amount.
I don't think it is accurate - I think it is the shipping date to retailers that Seagate goes by. I just bought a 160gb Seagate yesterday at BestBuy. The retail package says 1 yr warranty and when I punch the serial # in at Seagate.com it says it expires July 28, 2005.

I bought mine in the store. The box says 1 yr warranty and the seagate.com says it runs out July 28, 2005.
Maybe the retail boxes that say 3 yr are the newer ones?
I may bring mine back and order from the website - the ad claims a 5 yr warranty so I should get it that way.
I am actually interested in that 160gb Seagate deal - I want to stick with Seagate for the warranty & sound level.

I like the 200gb Seagate but there are no Fry's around & this 160gb deal sounds better than $120 for 200gb.
Yes - I bought mine in-store and it definitely is the 2500A - They didn't even stick a Maddog faceplate on it like it appears on the box.
I already flashed it and so far it works great.
