    I was wondering if anybody knows what the v1006 bios actually does. The Asus site says fixed sata hdd detection to Nvidia chipset. What does that mean? My 1005 bios is detecting the sata hdd just fine....

    Does overclocking the AGP bus help at all? I was under the impression that running agp/pci/sata devices at above spec is a risky endevour. RMA's shouldn't be a problem. and they might give you a revision 1.05 board with 2.8vdimm

    has to be the video card. once I run it stock the game never drops a beat. Rock solid stable no matter how many time i minimise to desktop to surf or chat on IM. Anybody with any experience with this similar problem?

    So far this is the only game that I can't run overclocked. I was able to do Far cry, Guild wars, etc at 400/1.06 rock stable, but with both 61.77 and 61.9X drivers, the client crashes unless I run at stock. Anybody able to overclock while playing WoW? Maybe its the difference in 2d/3d...

    Okay, so for 754 is 800mhz and 939 its 1000mhz. I know the nf250gb chipset supports 1000mhz, but say it's in a 754mb like the asus k8n-e, if you were to overclock your cpu on 4xhtt at 230, and htt runs at 920mhz, would this be out of spec for the motherboard? The chipset supports that speed...

    Crucial can do a cross ship. They'll ship you a part first, charge your credit card, and then remove the charge once they receive your shipment. It might not tbe both dimms that are messed up. Test them individually and you should be able to get by on 1 dimm till the replacement arrives.

    Hey Jeff, Your 3200+ is an NC right? I guess we're getting about the same overclocks then, because mine is a claw and I can get it up to 2300mhz. I'm pretty sure my cpu can't hit 2500mhz, because no 754 CH cpu is even rated 2500mhz, highest would be the 3700+ which clocks in at 2400mhz...

    I hit 2300mhz at 230fsb 4x HT with ram timings 2.5-2-2-10-1T. Using a claw cg stepping 3200+, crucial ballistix and running at 1.55vcore I realised that shifting dimms from 1 & 2 to 1 & 3 doesn't work for all ram. My ram works better in positions 1 and 2. I threw on a TT volcano...

    Hey Kandor, You might want to test your ram. I have ballistix too and I never got any mem test errors at 2.7v 400mhz 2-2-2-10-1T. Didn't get any at 2.7v 420Mhz 2-2-2-10 1T Although it's spec'ced at 2.8v, it runs fine at 2.5v for stock speeds, but if you wanna hit anything above 440mhz...
