Memtest 86 or Memtest86+?

What's the difference between these two programs? Which one is better for testing? Also, how many errors are "acceptable"? None?

Holy mother of god.. that is loud.

Then what the hell is causing this? My case might let a lot of noise escape (LL V1000) but not this much... the videocard is just loud.

The noise from the 120mm's doesn't bug me though.. it's just that damn GT that insanely loud. I guess there's nothing to do about it though. I was going to buy a Panaflo 120MM to put in the back of my case... but that's going to wait right now.

I'm running 2 120MM case fans. I've got the GT on it's own line but I'm using the power supply that came from the box though, is that alright? Instructions say it's for other devices but I'm using a PSU cable plugged into it and then then that cable plugged into the GT with no other...

Holy mother of god.. that is loud.

So I just finished putting together my PC and turned it on and everything is working fine (after a fixed a few things).. but then I started to realize how frickin loud it is. I can't even HEAR my heatsink (Zalman 7000 Al-Cu) but something in that direction is making noise and it really sounds...

Shutdown while POSTing

So I just finished putting my computer together.. double checked to make sure everything was plugged in right. I turned it on and danced around for a minute in glee when it successfully turned on and started POSTing. Then it shutdown. So.. what could cause this? Heatsink not seated right and...

Oh god.. it's a nightmare! I bought a PC-V1000 and I am currently putting my system together. Everything was going great until I started putting more and more wires in and started realizing that I was screwed. Hugely screwed. I can NOT manage my wires in this case.. I don't know why but I can...

I just bought some PC4000 to go with my AMD 3500. I'll tell you though, Ballistix PC3200 will be much much better for your system than the ram your friend is suggesting. Ballistix PC4000 will also be good, but if you're not overclocking.. the 3200 would be better. Unless you bring down the...

Quick Question: SATA Cables

Is there any difference in SATA cables? I've seen some cheap ones on newegg and the like (for around $3) but then I've also seen some around $15 and I'm just wondering if there could be any difference between them, ora disadvantage of using a cheaper cable? I have no knowledge of this SATA...

But the V1100 is a lot quieter with the closed design and noise-dampening foam. I would go for the V1100 but I really don't like the looks of it over the V1000. The door bothers me and even if the door wasn't there, the top and bottom would protrude out. I really want the case but I don't...

They make windowed side panels for the V series? Where did you see those at? Tuzzi, how was your case with the stock fans... was it loud? Antec's PSUs should fit, right? I have to decide on a case by the end of the day because I'll be ordering the rest of my computer then :)
