GFX card overheating?

Aye, those are just fine. Some variation is to be expected in the voltage rails, especially as reported by the mobo - 90% of the time, if you take the voltage from a molex using a voltmeter, they're actually dot on =).

IS there such thing as a microATX case that can use an ATX power supply?

Is it just me or did the Nvidia 6800 drastically increase your system temps?

I got a 3-4C rise in case temps when I went from a 9800Pro to a 6800GT, which was a bit of a surprise at first, until I realised that the GPU was hitting almost 70C under load, even with a huge, double-sided copper heatsink (Leadtek card) on it. I wouldn't be too worried, and the Silencer will...

Hey, Those kinda temps are fine on a GFX card, especially if you're running stock cooling - the Ti4X00 series were warm cards, and no amount of ventilation will keep their temp from being a good bit over ambient. As to the AGP voltage, that is a little high, assuming Smartdoctor is...

Gregor - I don't have much experience with Corsair or Micron memory, so can't really comment :(. I live in the UK, and generally if you want quality memory over here, you buy Crucial stuff (made with Micron chips, so it's good stuff). Heatspreaders on the memory are generally just for show...

<Warning, My Opinion Only> Personally, I'd stick with an Intel chipset-based board rather than a VIA-based one - there's a reason the suggested Shuttle board comes in at less than $80 :). VIA chipset boards tend to have a little too much personality for my tastes, if you know what I mean...

What processors can run w/o FAN?

Not personal experience, but I've heard of Tualatin P3s being run without heatsinks entirely, and remaining fairly cool (room temps or roundabout). Perhaps just gossip, but you may want to look into it a little :). ~tweakr~

best HSF for an Athlon XP?

My personal favourite at the moment is a Taisol heatsink (the one with the copper insert) and a Thermaltake 33cfm 60mm fan, good performance, cheap and no louder than a 26cfm YSTech - I got that combination here in the UK for £23, which translates to around $35, but I'm sure you could find one...

URGENT!!! Enermax question To FC or not to FC

GLOBALWIN FOP32 VS. THERMALTAKE SUPER ORB (DU0462-3) FOR THUNDERBIRD

My Vantec Heatsink is blue coloured? Is that normal?

The blue colour is just an anodised layer on the heatsink. I've read somewhere that it is supposed to improve the heat-radiating ability of the heatsink, but have yet to see real proof of it.... cheers tweakr

antec pp303x = abrupt resets?

Well, I setup an old case of mine as a temporary home for a mates system, and it ran fine with a Duron@1000, KT7, two HDs, CDR, DVD, one 120mm and 2 80mm fans on it, so I hope it's ok!..been running fine for a coupl've months now. I'm seriously worried about the consequences when hag finds this...

John Good choice with the Taisol 742, I installed one on my mates Duron 700@1000, 1.85v and he's yet to have a crash - great wee thing, very quiet too (watch the clip tho, use a screwdriver to lock it down.) The coolermaster might *just* manage to cool a 1.5ghz athlon, but would probably do so...
