SO Im trying to go from my old 36G Raptor to my new 150G Raptor.
All I did was unplug the old one and plug the new one right back in it's place.

120g Caviar - Storage

Took a closer look at my MoBo and it looks like there is two SATA ports and two others designated as SATA ports for RAId setups.
Im looking at the manual right now and reading about the "SATA RAID" ports and it says "if you want to use it as an independant drive, set the operation mode to IDE...

One other question, in what way do you assign 3 drives. Currently my 36 is master and my 120 is slave. When I add the new 150 whta do I set thhem as. I assume the 36 will be master and the new 150 will be slave, but what will my 120 for storage be now?

Why would you go that route? (honest question not being smartass) A squeaky clean 36 is a good place for it I thought.
I was thinking baout doing something with my pagefile, but I dont know too much about it.
If the OS is on the 36G it would be adviseable to put the pagefile on the 150G?

My plan is to leave the 36g for the OS and Apps, and use the 150g strictly for games...

I agree with Larry but FYI, I Ran 3dmarks and Aquamark before and after SP2, and after SP2 my scores where slightly lower. So slightly that I couldnt really be sure SP2 is the cause.
So, Everything on my hard drive is needed or apps except for Doom3.
Would you suggest uninstalling Doom3 Prior to making the image?

Problem is now it seems to do it when I load programs. Now when the normal black screen hits before load I get the no ginal...

I read a few other Athlon running at that so I thnk Im ok, but yu know how it goes, this is my first time just lookin for some peace of mind..
Everything is else is running great so far, just started in the bios (is where I got my temp) and everything seems stable...

I cant speak for CAD but I can speak for Lightwave which is a taxing 3D program.
With 128mb of video it will start to lag when stuff is smooth shifted or when lots of gfx are being worked on...

Is it ok to hook up two HDD's and a Floppy on the same line?
I wouldnt bother doing it except the only Floppy power connection tht comes with my PSU is on a dble "y" line....figured i might as well use the two other four pins on that line If I can...

I have two HDD one master one slave, but On the HDDs it says Master/Slave Jumper not required for SATA (which is what these drives are...).
What does this mean?
