Upgrading DVDRW in Emachines M6807

Hi, I'm thinking about upgrading my DVDRW (Pioneer DVR-k12) with the Dual Layer Pioneer DVR-K15. Anyone did it ? or at least familiar with upgrading a DVD drive on a notebook? I'd love to hear how it's done.

Hi everybody. I have M6807 with WIN XP sp2... I heard that the new win xp 64 bit is out... Did someone try it? I mean is there any compatibility problems with the drivers and the hardware ? like wireless, memory cards reader, usb2.0 , ATi video card, or anything else? thanks to all.

Hello, I have M6807, installed the new ROM update and the SP2 update. Now I noticed many times in my taskbar near the clock (where all the small icons appear) the battery/charging icon ,the Volume icon and the wireless icon don't appear. Only if go to the control panel and unchecking and...

M6807 refuses to work at 800MHz on battery

checked everything, still doesn't help. checked few times my speed eith the amd tool it shows: 1450Mhz-1680Mhz...

I have my emachines for 5 months, love it very much. Sometime ago I noticed that the battery runs uot to fast. I saw that even when I'm working on battery the CPU speed indicates 1.8GHz in My Computer \ Properties... and in AMDinfo tool. I onced wanted it to be like that. But I don't wan't it...
