Newegg won't tell you because they don't know. I believe TankGuys was going to do a pre-sale on the G0 x3220s once they were finished handling the Q6600 orders. I would check with them.
So, they told MGM it would be up to two weeks, and they told you it would be by next Friday (the 10th)?
Sounds like they're not really sure about anything, I wish they would have just said that from the beginning instead of setting false expectations.
When did they say that? The other post says it could be two weeks ... if that's the newest information, it sounds like that's what we're dealing with. That is a long wait indeed.
Keep in mind that ClubIT probably buys through a distributor or distributors, who have their own stockpiles of old stock. Thus, they may be sourcing shipments from a distributor's old stock, or getting fresh B3s from a plant not producing the G0 stepping, ...

I'm also in WA, I went to Fry's on Friday and they only had B3s. NCIXUS won't guarantee a G0 , so for you it's TankGuys (August 10th) or Club IT (hopefully sooner).
I went to Fry's, and they don't have the processor boxes on the floor, you have to ask their staff members to check product codes. It usually takes about three of them before you can get somebody who knows how to operate the computer, at which point he calls some other person who doesn't know...
I was going to do the same thing, but after some calling around it's pretty clear there are still B3s in the supply chain. Honestly, I'd be happy with a B3 also, but since I initially delayed ordering my parts for a G0, I've waited long enough that I want to be assured of the new stepping...
They are out of stock again, so hopefully some G0s hit the dock today or tomorrow. If my processor ships today, it'll be here the same day as my other parts. I've got a brand new 30" monitor sitting here with nothing to push pixels to it :(
They told me the final charge would be based on the listed web site price at the time of shipping. Did they guarantee you the $300 total? If the price stays at $296, my total will be around $310. It might be a bit more or less than that by the time it actually ships, though.
It's pretty clear at this point that there is still a mix of B3 and G0 in the supply chain, so however fast Newegg is spinning through their stock is IMHO irrelevant.

They are smart ... demand is healthy enough that they keep selling at any price, so they would be stupid to not raise the price.

$266 is what Intel sells them for, you are buying them through a retailer, who typically gets them from a distributor ... so a couple of markups pushes the price a bit. Newegg's price reflects just under a 13% markup, so it seems quite reasonable.
Newegg flipped the switch on the Q6600s, but no sign of the Q6700 chip there just yet. Since we've seen those for ~$350 at ... ahem ... less than Newegg-reputable resellers, I'm very curious to see how that pricing shakes out.

Yeah, PITA indeed. I should probably mention that Gigabyte asked me to send in the board because they thought something might be defective ... I'm skeptical on that, given that every port worked with a hard drive plugged in.
Bought the cheapest one I could find ... on XP, just plugged the drive into the card, booted Windows, told it to go find the driver online and a few minutes later I had a perfectly working drive :)

The problem was (is) the SATA DVD writer. I disconnected it and installation went fine on the RAID-0 array using a plain old IDE CDROM drive. It doesn't appear possible to run a SATA DVD drive with RAID on this setup, even with the RAID functions explicitly disabled on the SATA channel it is...
