    Def not a scam in the sense that Ebay now do this. I sold a satellite receiver box a month ago and the funds werent released to me until the buyer did positive feedback (which they did within a day of getting it). If they dont give feedback you have to wait 30 days for your money.

    Sending an item marked as a gift when it isnt would be fraud. You'd pay taxes if you had bought it in Canada too and you said you still saved money so whats the problem? Imagine they had sent it insured for $50 as a gift and it was lost or damaged, id imagine you would be pretty annoyed at that too?
